Timely too because this morning I read a headline on Deadline with the following title: Sherlock Producer Pleads With Fans To Keep London Filming Locations Secret I guess the Sherlock faithful are going Twi-Hard on the set and they’re now worried about plot spoilers. Peter Jackson’s return to Middle Earth, this time focusing on Frodo’s uncle Bilbo undertaking his own adventure as a young man, is good enough, but “good enough” feels like an indictment when the original LOTR trilogy ranged from “very good” to “extraordinary”. Full Story
The first trailer for Peter Jackson’s return to Middle Earth was a little underwhelming. It looked pretty much exactly like Fellowship of the Ring and it had some dude (do not ask me to differentiate the people playing dwarves—can’t do it) singing a depressing dirge. But the second trailer is much, much more indicative of what The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be, and that is: funnier, lighter, and more free-spirited than The Lord of the Rings. Full Story
