Amal Alamuddin Gossip

Amal Alamuddin Clooney has been in Greece the last few days consulting on the return of the Parthenon Marbles. The official visit concluded yesterday with a press conference. Of course someone asked her about George Clooney and what he thought of the issue. I’ve attached video of her response below. Full Story
George Clooney gave PEOPLE so much information about his wedding they can release a story every day about the event, sometimes two. Here’s one that showed up this weekend: the cost. How much did the wedding cost? PEOPLE says that’s grossly inflated: At the end of the day, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's three-day wedding weekend, including their intimate Sept. 27 ceremony Full Story
I didn’t think I’d be so into George Clooney’s wedding. But I think I might be more into his wedding than I was the Brange wedding. And that, obviously, has everything to do with Amal Alamuddin.
Whether you love her or hate her, you cannot deny we’ve been given a new gossip star. Not unlike Carolyn Bessette, as many have already suggested. Except it took Bessette a long time to get comfortable in that position and, sadly, it was just as she was easing into it that she was lost. Which, afterwards, only added to her enigma. It was before social media. It was before TMZ. She kept a lot of her secrets. And we still can’t seem to get enough of wanting to know them.
That’s what’s fun about this going forward: watching how she maintains some mystery in this world of exposure, giving us just enough to be intrigued, and not enough to intrigue us some more. Read Full Intro
More details every day from PEOPLE about the Amal Alamuddin-George Clooney wedding. Blah blah blah they love each other, blah blah blah it’s a fairy tale romance. What’s most fascinating to me is the insight into what Amal’s like. We don’t get that upfront with quotes and observation but we do get some clues from her friends. Full Story
Would love to know how it works when it comes to wedding photo negotiations. Like does George Clooney tell PEOPLE and HELLO! that "I won't take anything less than what Brad got"? Or does he say "If you give me x percent more, I'll give you x percent more - more photos, more quotes, more access"?
And is there a photo checklist from the publication that has to be satisfied? Like do PEOPLE and HELLO! specify that they want:
- The Dress, front and back
- The Cake
- Bride and Groom together, must be touching
- $100k bonus if you give us a kiss
- $100k bonus if you give us a photo of celebrity guests
- at least one group family shot
- at least one sappy quote
Who has the power here? The seller or the buyer? The buyer ended up getting shafted for the Timberlake wedding when all the pictures came back low quality and not all that impressive. Read Full Intro

Also Oscar de la Renta. The paps were able to get a shot of Amal Alamuddin during the reception but after the ceremony and, as you can see, it’s silver with some fringe and, frankly, I like it a lot better than that snore she ended up choosing. But VOGUE is blowing it all up with an exclusive behind-the-scenes fitting feature with her that they posted today. Full Story
I suppose that’s the other mystery, apart from the dress. Maybe not anymore? A few European media outlets are reporting that Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney are heading to Marrakesh for their honeymoon. A Moroccan honeymoon? It’s so Mimi! You think they’re taking us there too? Are we invited on the honeymoon? Am attaching more shots today of the two of them making it legal. Full Story
Here’s a quick update: Everyone’s thinking VOGUE because Anna Wintour was there but it’s looking like PEOPLE and HELLO! are publishing the Amal Alamuddin-George Clooney wedding photos, just like it was with Brange. One source told me that VOGUE simply couldn’t pay that much money and that only a PEOPLE/HELLO! joint bid would both satisfy the financial requirement (to be donated) and also the “nice reporting/nice gossip” demands. At this point, it’s really the only detail we don’t know: what did Amal Alamuddin’s wedding dress look like? Since Anna Wintour was there, VOGUE will likely tell us in the next month or so. Fine. At this point, I actually feel sated. He gave us enough, don’t you think? More than enough. Full Story
