As IF, Granny Freeze
I wrote last week that I prefer the Joan Rivers way of face-jacking which is that she does it and she doesn’t lie about it. Ashley Judd wrote a piece with big words lecturing everyone last year after the Internet went crazy about what she called, at the time, a reaction to “steroid medication” due to illness. Her point, I think?, was that women should not attack each other over appearances. And my point was that women don’t like to be played by other women. And this, this Nicole Kidman quote, to Italian newspaper La Republicca, is exactly what I mean:
“No surgery for me; I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.”
Well, I suppose we’ve gone from outright denial, which was her old move, to at least an admission, so that’s progress, I guess. But “I did try Botox” implies that it, oh, just an experiment, you know, something she checked out, maybe once or twice... temporary.
And no more?
You saw her at the Globes and the SAGs.
Does she look like she “got out of it”?
