Tatiana Maslany gossip, latest news, photos, and video including career, style, roles, awards, relationships and other news.
Earlier this week I got an email from reader Christine with the subject line “Please go see a movie you like”, and the message was, “I have to say I feel awful for you, you haven’t seen a movie (at least reviewed on LaineyGossip) you like in months and months.” That’s not entirely true—I liked Cinderella Full Story

I love Sarah Gadon. So I’m gushing here: If Hollywood were a stock exchange, you want to buy shares in Sarah Gadon… and fast. Much like Tatiana Maslany, Sarah won big at the Canadian Screen Awards too — but she didn’t take home a trophy. In fact, she wasn’t nominated this year, even though five of her Maps to the Stars co-stars were, including Robert Pattinson and Julianne Moore. Full Story

With New New Star Wars less than a year away, Disney continues with their plans to expand the Star Wars universe into a multi-franchise superbeast a la Marvel. The next movie in the works is a spin-off to be directed by Gareth Edwards, which is due on December 16, 2016. Details about the movie are scarce, but THR is reporting that Rooney Mara and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany are testing this week for the female lead. Full Story

This weekend also marks the end of the second season of Orphan Black. And last night Tatiana Maslany was named Best Actress in a Drama Series at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards…
And if you watch the show, you know she deserves it – over and over and over again for every single clone she plays.

I’ve been waiting all day to write about the Canadian Screen Awards to see if the photos would come down in cost…and they haven’t. Which is why there are so few of them here and I’m sorry I can’t afford anymore. To me, if the agencies could make the shots more available, perhaps we could widen the coverage. Full Story

If you would, please raise your glass to the incredible Tatiana Maslany. This is how you do it right. You go to the awards and you look just flawless, but still your age and effortless, as opposed to some of your contemporaries who put a wee too much effort into being VERY MUCH REMEMBERED, right Emma Watson? When you are robbed in your category because the show is not very well known, and because you are up against some of the most skilled women in the business but maybe the one who took the trophy is not actually the one who was most deserving because it was a weird mix, well, then, you just sit back, and smile. Oh the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. How will they surprise us this time? Golden Globe nominations are coming today and we should see a lot more love for Leonardo DiCaprio because, apart from the fact that he’s a good actor, the HFPA really wants him at their show. They want them all at their show. Remember when they wanted Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp so badly they listed their performances in The Tourist as one of the best of the year?
Curiously though, the HFPA does seem to get it more in television than, say, the Emmys. That means Tatiana Maslany should be included. I hope.
Full analysis on the Globe nominations coming later this morning as this open was written before the announcement. The Globes are exactly a month away. It’s officially gossip high season – the most wonderful time of the year. Read Full Intro

The Television Critics Association announced their awards yesterday in Beverly Hills. The results are much different than what the Emmys will be in September. The Emmy nominations did not include Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany. The TCA gave Maslany the Individual Achievement in Drama award. If you watch Orphan Black, this is a fist-pump moment. Full Story
