Today is the Star Wars Celebration fan event in Anaheim, California—basically a Comic-Con Hall H presentation without Hall H—and JJ Abrams and the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (or however that title officially goes) debuted a second teaser trailer. The movie doesn’t come out till Christmas, so we have plenty of time for full-blown plot-revealing trailers, but there’s a lot of new footage and information to digest. Full Story

I posted photos today of Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson Old School in the site intro today and someone yelled at me for not mentioning Timothy Olyphant. Fair enough. Timothy Olyphant was also at the US Open this weekend. And we should be seeing him at TIFF for This Is Where I Leave You. Everyone I know who’s seen it so far says it’s terrific. Full Story
This last season of Girls was the best yet, right? Partway through, Duana started talking about how Adam Driver was working for her. That she was starting to feel some things about him. Who is going to go see This Is Where I Leave You with me? It’s kind of hard to know who to take. I mean, this is not The Hunger Games where the companion had to be carefully thought through and it’s not Pitch Perfect where basically, seeing the movie with me became the prize because I was so delighted with the whole enterprise that I squealed and giggled and chortled and basically it was like those YouTube clips where laughing babies make you laugh. I’ve been trying to tune out the maelstrom of rumor, assumption and speculation surrounding the new Star Wars movies. You think the run up to a Marvel movie is a mess? Star Wars is way, way worse.
