Keanu Reeves Gossip
Keanu Reeves gossip, latest news, photos, and video.
Coming soon to television: Keanu Reeves.
As reported by Deadline yesterday, he’ll be starring in and producing a series called Rain based on Barry Eisler’s books. John Rain is an assassin whose murders are set up to look like natural cause. He’s an international man of mystery and a lonely loner. Oh, but aren’t they all?
Professionally, this is the right move. Keanu seems to know about playing his position. And, happily, he’s playing it without having to resort to joining The Expendables. You know, I still can’t breathe when Speed is on TV and I’m watching him stare intently forward out of the front window of the bus. Read Full Intro

Sandra Bullock was honoured at Spike TV’s Guys Choice with the Decade of Hotness award. And because she’s Sandy and never takes herself too seriously, here’s what she had to say about it. "I feel like I'm at my funeral. Decade of Hotness…My question was what decade? I have several under my belt. Full Story
Keanu Reeves’ long-awaited samurai epic 47 Ronin finally has a trailer and it’s AWFUL. It’s an awful trailer for an awful looking movie. I wish I had a word beyond “awful” both for how terrible the trailer is and how terrible the movie looks. Let’s tackle the trailer first, starting with the interstitial cards that read “An outcast…exiled,” which is redundant as “outcast” and “exiled” are synonymous. Full Story
We've seen many faces of Keanu Reeves over the years. There's Keanu the insanely successful blockbuster star, Keanu the art house gay-ish muse, Keanu the idiot, Keanu the romcom leading man, Keanu the sad Chateau Marmont cliche. Now say hello to Keanu the director. The trailer for his first feature film, called Man of Tai Chi, has been released and, while it's probably not what you were expected from him, it also confirms some assumptions we've all been making about him for some time now. There was a time when I’d look forward to being alone -- on the subway, in my car, right before bed -- so that I could daydream about Keanu Reeves without interruption. There were several scripts I would revise over and over again in my head. I think the one I settled on eventually involved us meeting in Asia somewhere -- because of our shared Asian heritage, obviously -- and him falling in love with me because of my awesome Chinese talking skills. Where his abilities are much more appreciated than they are in English speaking parts of the world. Here’s Keanu being honoured at the FilmAID Power Of Film Gala in Hong Kong last night. In Hong Kong it doesn’t matter that he can’t sneeze convincingly. It matters more that he can play the martial arts. Full Story

I was f-cked up good over Keanu Reeves when Speed came out. For the next six months I imagined we’d be together some day. Keanu and Sandra Bullock have remained friends throughout. Last night they had dinner in Beverly Hills, pictured here leaving separately. Zebra shoes on Sandy? I never would have pictured it. Full Story
James Franco, the artist, has always said one of his favourite films, maybe even his favourite film, is Gus Van Sant’s My Own Private Idaho. Now the artist has collaborated on an art presentation about My Own Private Idaho with Gus Van Sant to be featured at the Toronto International Film Festival next month. Full Story
Then again, it’s not hard to be better than The Love Guru. Woah wait. Wasn’t Jessica Alba in The Love Guru. Was she forced at gunpoint? Because, you know, she’s all discerning and sh-t right? Anyway, there’s another Canadian who is making a movie about hockey. And, well, it sounds awesome. Full Story
He’s shooting Generation Um. So it’s not like real Keanu was happy, though he very well may have been, and we certainly hope for that, but it’s nice to see even if it’s pretend happy, just to mix it up a little, you now? Sometimes it’s brooding cupcakes on a park bench, other times it’s hurtling down the street with a smile. Full Story
A lot hotter than he was a few months back and people thought he homeless and lonely and needing to be rescued. Here’s Keanu Reeves, no coffee, no cupcake, on break from shooting Generation Um in New York today. As I was drafting this post, I thought to myself: should I write about him making another movie with Sandy? And then I remembered The Lake House and laughed out loud. Full Story
It’s an independent film, it’s currently shooting in New York, and it’s one of those that might not see distribution, but obviously something in it spoke to him, and at this point, he really only has to work when he wants to, so here’s Keanu Reeves on set today, looking better and less lonely than he has recently, eating a cupcake, and still, though weathered and damaged, still so hauntingly beautiful. Full Story
It was yesterday. He’s 46. And he was in New York, photographed with a coffee and a cupcake, lonely but not for long, making friends with passersby and local workers, which will probably prompt yet another online “Save Keanu” petition like the first one, cheekily initiated by those worried over his appearance and solitary sadness when he was photographed a couple of months ago, in the same clothes actually, eating a sandwich all by himself on a park bench.
