Smutty Fitness: what is cardio?

Dear Hayley, I've a question about what counts as cardio because, to be perfectly blunt, I hate most "cardio" workouts. I know it's important to my overall health and benefits me in a way weight training doesn't, but I'm so unenthusiastic when I'm slogging away on a treadmill/bike/elliptical that I know the benefit is likely halved. Full Article

Duana Names: Yes, Asterisk

Hi Duana, I don't plan to have children, so this email is purely for fun debate. Can you name your kid Illya if you don't have any ties to Russia, but really like the name? Can you use the name Ari if you're a gentile? Can you have a Declan if you don't have a drop of Irish blood? For the record, I think the answer to all of these questions is yes, but if I was a potential parent, I might be a bit nervous to take the plunge. Full Article

Second time in a month I’ve highlighted Krysten Ritter – click here to see last time. Does two in a row make a trend? I think we have underestimated her ability to bring the style porn. Because this cape and red turtleneck combination with the skirt and then changing it up over the jeans is making me take notice. Full Article

Oh, yes. OH YES. I want to send this to Duana and YES together. She would love this dress. She would love this colour. And how it doesn’t need anything else because the sequins do all the work. Also… pockets!  Full Article

Duana Names: A Million Little Liams…

Duana Posted by Duana

I am due with my 2nd baby mid-November and the gender is a surprise. I read your baby names column obsessively as I am stuck on both a boy and a girl name.  I do not want my kid to be one of a million little Liams, Ethans or Emmas in the class and I agree that the younger sibling’s name shouldn’t be a drastic difference from the older sibling’s name. Full Article

Such a great colour on her. Which is kinda what saves the look. I’m not all that excited about much else. The straps aren’t remarkable and, I don’t know, is it too long and too short at the same time?  Full Article

I thought it would be good in thumbnail. When I took a closer look at the material though… The print definitely helps. But I’m still feeling like it’s too dated a look for someone as fresh as Jenna D.   Full Article

If this was just a blush tiered dress, I’d be bored and think it was Elie Saab. It’s the jacket that makes the entire look totally amazing. Like military with attitude, especially way the way it buttons diagonally so that the two red stripes look like bold, aggressive slashes, as if to say, don’t you dare call me “pretty”. Full Article

Duana Names: The Third Gets Four

Duana Posted by Duana

Hi Duana, We were somewhat surprised to learn that we will be having a third baby. As we have a boy and a girl already, we are really struggling with a name. Keeping up with the "surprise" theme of this baby, we have opted not to find out the gender so need suggestions for both. We have a three- syllable hyphenated last name for our children, so have opted for short (1 or 2 syllable) names for our other children, both which happen to be four letters. Full Article
