Yesterday Netflix puts nerds everywhere out of their misery by announcing that Stranger Things will get a second season, due in 2017. The announcement came via video, with what seem to be episode titles for nine new episodes, including “Mad Max”, “The Pollywog”, “The Brain”, and “The Lost Brother”. Full Story

Miley’s been in New York working on that Woody Allen series for Amazon. She was courtside on Saturday at the Knicks game. Let’s talk work sh-t first. They’ve not yet announced a premiere date for the show but it’s very possible it could premiere in the fall. And it just so happens that it was just confirmed that Miley will be a judge on The Voice for the fall season as she and Alicia Keys join Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Full Story

Fargo got shut out at the Golden Globes, but it got some love from the wholly irrelevant Critics’ Choice Awards, where it won four awards, including Best TV Movie/Limited Series, and Best Actress in a TV Movie/Limited Series, for Kirsten Dunst. I’m not even a Kirsten Dunst fan, and I thought she was pretty goddamned brilliant on Fargo. Full Story

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck used to have a show called Project Greenlight, in which they and a panel of filmmakers chose a script and a director and set them loose with a small budget to make a movie. Katherine Heigl’s return to television is happening on Monday night, NBC 10pm. They gave her the timeslot right behind The Voice. Which is generous. Which means that, at least in its first week, State Of Affairs should do OK. But will it last? So far I’ve read two reviews. Yahoo TV Full Story

They’re making a movie about Aaliyah. It’s a tv movie. On Lifetime. Who’s playing her? Zendaya. I wasn’t happy about this this morning. So I emailed the only person I know who cares about Baby Girl as much as I do: Sasha (who’s in Paris right now). Sasha’s reaction: “This is excellent casting! I pray this is not cheesy as f-ck either way screening party please. Full Story
