As previously mentioned in the Kerry Washington post, Reese Witherspoon is featured in Entertainment Weekly’s Beyond Beautiful article and drops a blind riddle about opportunities for women in Hollywood: “About four years ago I got sent an awful, terrible script. And this male star was starring in it, and there was a girlfriend part. Full Story

The SAG Awards were only two hours long. Did you recognise more of yourself and the people in your life in those two short hours than you have during an award show in a while? Sure, it wasn’t perfect. But before perfect, we have to get to better. One of those moments of “better” happened when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler presented Carol Burnett with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Full Story

The Screen Actors love Uzo Aduba. And they love Orange Is The New Black. As you saw on that stage and in these photos…the women! Women who may not have had a place in the industry before, celebrating the moment. OITNB is on Netflix. And, as we saw with Idris Elba and Beasts Of No Nation, certain branches of the industry aren’t quite ready to embrace Netflix, not yet. Full Story

The X-Files returned on Sunday night and even with a time delay thanks to championship football, the ratings were REALLY good. Even allowing for spillover football fans who tuned out within the first few minutes of the show, The X-Files pulled around 13.5 million viewers, which is great for the current state of network TV, especially if you’re not a procedural on CBS. Full Story

As expected, since the #OscarsSoWhite situation has dominated the entertainment landscape the last couple of weeks, the question is being asked of celebrities at Sundance. Here are Kristen Stewart’s thoughts on diversity in the industry: Nothing controversial there – an acknowledgement, a direction change, and then a quick exit. Full Story

Every time I turn on the TV there’s a commercial on for The Finest Hours. It’s about Pendleton rescue mission attempt in 1952. Two oil tankers were destroyed in bad weather and the Coast Guard, along with citizens on a surfboat, saved almost all the passengers. The film follows the release of Chris Hemsworth’s In The Heart Of The Sea, a different story entirely, obviously, but for some reason I can’t tell them apart. Full Story

Leo’s reaction to Lady Gaga’s arm bump is now the 5th most viewed Vine ever. People love it, can’t get enough of it. It has spurred ridiculous stories of feuds and after-party confrontations (which high level gossips such as yourselves know are BS). Even though some (AHEM, Lainey) want to cast Leo as the evil Prom King, there was a moment with another big winner that passed quickly, save for trade media and Twitter. Full Story

Ciara performed the US national anthem to kick off the 2016 College Football National Championship Game last night in Glendale, AZ. Alabama beat Clemson to take the title. But a lot of people are talking about Ciara’s dress. Specifically, during her performance, ESPN’s Bonnie Bernstein tweeted this: Dear Ciara. Full Story

In 2014, Kristen Stewart was featured in ELLE. I wrote at the time that the interview was frustrating. Click here for a full refresher, but this was the quote I was referring to: “Never at any point have I sat down and plotted how I should proceed from here on. Full Story
