The Cannes Film Festival announced its lineup today. Among the films screening out of competition, Woody Allen’s An Irrational Man starring Emma Stone, apparently his new muse, and Joaquin Phoenix. So Emma’s going to Cannes. For the first time, I think. Emma’s dress porn is always first class. Full Story

Let’s start with the source: STAR Magazine is reporting that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have drifted apart and put their relationship on hold. That’s how all those Ryan Gosling-Eva Mendes breakup rumours got started. Full Story

You know, you never want to be boring. Predictable. Safe. And so it becomes a bit of a lame proposition to choose Emma Stone for Best Dressed, because of course she’s going to be Best Dressed. Even her misses are so much more interesting than everyone else’s wins.   But this is no black or cream or red dress. Full Story

And now for everything that reminds us that Saturday Night Live is never quite as good as we want it to be. Actors impersonating characters During the “Weekend Update” bit several actors appeared as famous SNL characters. Emma Stone impersonated Gilda Radner’s “Roseanne Roseannadanna”, Melissa McCarthy attempted to take on Chris Farley and “Matt Foley”, and Edward Norton almost got there with “Stefon” and Bill Hader. Full Story

You can be a serious actor, and work with the best directors, and be nominated for awards, and receive rave reviews on Broadway… And you can still be into clothes at the same time. This is what I love about Emma Stone. Emma Stone is consistently on the best dressed lists because she has great style instincts but also because she loves to play. Full Story

Last night was Emma Stone’s Broadway debut as Sally in Cabaret. If Twitter is any indication, she delivered. So far I’ve only found one review at the Guardian and it’s a strong one. Apparently the audience went wild for her first night. Full Story

Birdman is a tremendous film. There’s no other way to put it. It’s an ASTOUNDING technical accomplishment and a genuinely affecting film that is funny, absurd, moving, and sad.
