This Is Where I Leave You
I have nervous anticipation. Connie Britton was recently cast in This Is Where I Leave You, a movie based on a delicious book that you should read this weekend, about a family that sits shiva after the father passes away. (Lainey: I've written about Jonathan Tropper, the author, before. Full Story
Tina Fey & Mean Moms

My favourite part of the 30 Rock finale was Liz Lemon on the mommy chat boards – an innocuous question about where to get a bike turns into a raging fight about gender issues and safety helmets. “It’s funny ‘cause it’s true” definitely applies here. Urban Baby Full Story
Amy’s a feminist, Tina’s a joker, and Taylor is…
Yesterday, Taylor Swift’s Vanity Fair excerpt was released, in which she said, in regards to a Golden Globes joke by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women” (more on this quote later). Full Story
Taylor Swift vs Tina & Amy

This new Taylor Swift interview in Vanity Fair... Let’s break it up into two parts. Because, as it always is with Taylor Swift, there’s SO MUCH TO FEEL. The article was written by Nancy Jo Sales, a veteran writer who you may remember from that classic, amazing article on Leonardo DiCaprio I linked to Full Story
Best Friends host the Golden Globes: Tina & Amy

This is the first time in my memory that we’ve come off an awards show and, of the hosts, gone “f-ck yeah!” They were spectacular, and this was not supposed to be the case. I mean, of course it was but anyone else would have crumbled under the hype. Not our girls. They were absolutely top-level. Full Story
Will Tina change?

Here’s Tina Fey at the 30 Rock series final wrap party last night in New York. Good pants, right? They’re a really nice fit. Skinny cut and there’s room. I need to look into these. Also a point toe pump is so flattering with that length. OK so now we’re only 3 weeks away. Full Story
Taylor Swift’s birthday nomination
Well, you knew that was happening as soon as she wrote the song for The Hunger Games soundtrack. That’s all the Hollywood Foreign Press Association would have needed to put her name down for a nomination. Have they even listened to the music? Please. Who cares? Does it matter? Taylor Swift has been nominated for a Golden Globe. Full Story
Tina Fey Uses Her Powers For Good

The one thing that kind of bugged me about Tina Fey’s Bossypants was that she used the word “grim” a lot. Situations were grim. Lighting was grim. People were grim. She loves the word. But maybe she finds that “g-r” construction evocative, because in this clip from last night’s Inaugural Gala for the Center for Reproductive Rights in New York, she makes the best use of “grey-faced” I’ve ever heard. Amy and Tina and the Golden Globes jokes
How can you go wrong? I literally do not know anyone who was not delighted with the news that Poehler and Feyare going to host the often-completely-sleepy Golden Globe awards, although I’m sure you’re out there, whispering behind your hand and hoping you don’t get caught. Stay inside. Full Story
Emmys Best Tina Fey: the standing ovation
Wenn, Frazer Harrison/ Getty
There are so many reasons to love Tina Fey. And we’ve been through so many of them on this blog. Last night she gave us one more. Or maybe just Duana and me. Did you see it during Michael J Fox’s standing ovation? Look, of course it sucks that he has Parkinson’s. Of course we all love him. Full Story
The Chosen Dress At Oscar: Tina Fey

I did something very out of character for me yesterday. Before the show, before all the panic and craziness, I went for a hike. In LA, where people hike. This is not something I undertake all the time. In fact, people who know me and are reading this just spit out whatever beverage they were working on. Full Story
GG Best BFF. Sorry, but it’s true: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler

Lainey and I were talking the other night about Daniel Radcliffe, during his SNL hosting. Between the sense of humour he clearly has about himself and the Parade interview he gave recently where he so obviously gets that you can’t really go ‘up’ from Harry Potter (not in notoriety, box office, sheer workdays), I realized – he’s gonna be FINE. Tina’s back...and smashing cars

Tina Fey arrived at Letterman studios in New York to tape an appearance this afternoon presumably to promote the return of 30 Rock next Thursday. As you know, the season is starting late because Tina had a baby in August, her second daughter Penelope. I wonder if we’ll be seeing any magazine covers featuring Tina all like:HOW I GOT MY BODY BACK!!!I hope no. Full Story
The Glory of Not Giving A Damn
“Bossypants” as primer for life Written by Duana Tina Fey tells a story of meeting a little boy when ‘meeting the teacher’ for kindergarten. They were told to draw pictures, and when she showed hers to him, like, ‘look what I did!’ he ripped it. Full Story
