STAR Magazine apparently reported in their issue this week that Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender might not be together anymore because he parties too much. I only learned of this from Gossip Cop because they’ve published a counter story calling STAR out on the claim. According to Gossip Cop, who spoke to sources close to Alicia, STAR’s article is “inaccurate”. Which isn’t exactly specific. What’s inaccurate? All of it? Or some of it?

Anyway, here’s Alicia in London yesterday. She’s about to start work on Bourne 5 with Matt Damon. Production begins next week. Bourne 5 is the reason she wasn’t able to do Assassin’s Creed with Michael. A promo poster for Assassin’s Creed was released online yesterday. Yahoo had the exclusive:

Alicia also apparently had to walk away from the film adaptation of Dave Eggers’s The Circle, co-starring Tom Hanks. That role has since gone to Emma Watson. Basically Alicia’s been offered a lot, too much for her to be able to do all at once. Which is why I keep saying that people are talking about her like they used to talk about Jessica Chastain.

We interviewed Alicia a couple of weeks ago, along with Elizabeth Dembicki, on The Social when they were in Toronto promoting The Man From U.N.C.L.E. She certainly didn’t show me any of that Chastain-ness in the UNCLE movie but if you’re curious, you should watch her in Ex Machina. She’s terrific in that. But she’s expected to make her biggest impact in a couple of weeks in Venice and then at TIFF in The Danish Girl, with Eddie Redmayne. Ahead of the film’s premieres at both festivals, a new poster has just been unveiled:

Everyone is saying that The Danish Girl will be making an Oscar run, something she kinda sorta predicted back in March when she was interviewed by W Magazine. Interestingly enough, they’re also saying Michael Fassbender playing Steve Jobs will be an Oscar contender. You think they’ll still be together then?
