Have you seen those throwback Ryan Gosling dance videos yet? The Internet seems to be losing its mind over them.
Because it’s Ryan Gosling, the human hug pillow.
To his credit, he had a great response:
Obviously I peaked early. Thank you @JaneChupick and twitter for the check up from the neck up.— Ryan Gosling (@RyanGosling) March 7, 2015
You know what I responded to though?
Is this for real or is it just another dream?
Rick Astley was on background vocals for that song! Which is not the song Ryan is dancing to, no, but I went down a Cathy Dennis web-hole this morning and can’t come out of the 90s. Read Full Intro

Child stardom is something we talk about frequently here because it really encapsulates the lure and pitfalls of fame, and every single time a child star goes astray, the narrative is one of shock and dismay. Why? We’ve seen it happen umpteen times! A child is encouraged to “follow their dream” and becomes famous and a cash cow for an entire team, which usually includes parents/managers, lawyers, agents, siblings acting as extras and cousins who work as assistants. I have a friend, H, and she has an expression. It’s the best. She dropped it on me once when we were at a work meeting years ago, before I started blogging full-time. One of our colleagues, P, was upset about some negative feedback. She sulked for the rest of the session, then at the very end, when everyone was getting up to leave, she let the tears fall down her face and ran to the bathroom. Full Story
If you haven’t already, you have to read the New York Times interview with Willow, 14, and Jaden, 16, Smith. It’s a mind f-ck. It’s such a mind f-ck that I don’t know even know how to analyse it. Except to say that for all that the Smith family does to directly address speculation that they’re heavily involved in Scientology, you have to wonder what part Scientology has played in their development. Las Vegas celebrated Britney Spears yesterday. It's supposed to be an honour... If you're over 50! Britney is 32 years old. Just two years older than Miranda Lambert. So, no. Don't ask me to be congratulatory about this. It's not how it was all supposed to go down. But here we are, pop's former princess, dressed like Liza Minelli (don't tell me you can't see this outfit in Liza's closet), and her face tighter than it was when she was dancing around in a red leather catsuit, her cheekbones fuller and higher, at her Vegas day presentation so, basically, she's Marie Osmond now. For the last two years Beyoncé has owned our hearts and minds – for me, Life Is But A Dream marked a real turning point in the marketing of Queen B, but as far back as 2008 she was telling us that she was going to run the world. Beyoncé married Jay Z in 2008, her parents split in 2009 (it took them a few years to hammer out the divorce), and in 2011 she dropped her father as her manager. Full Story
On her own, she’ll be famous. It was announced yesterday that Kevin Smith is shooting a new movie called Yoga Hosers about two 15 year old female superheroes starring his own daughter Harley Quinn and Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily Rose. Johnny will also have a role in the film. They’ve already started production. Full Story
Famous people are f-cked up in a way we’ll never understand or relate to. There are exceptions though. Imagine you’re in an on-off toxic situation with a young pop star. You grew up in the business yourself. You had to support your family. Your value system is warped by Hollywood and, ostensibly, social media. Full Story
Lindsay Lohan is doing a play in England. And in order to convince people that she’s not a f-ck up anymore, she agreed to an interview with the BBC. Or, rather, the BBC agreed to an interview with her. It’s the same sh-t she’s been saying for years. That she was living out her “college experience”. Full Story

Justin Bieber is in Miami, living large. Or trying to. Yachts, girls, beers… It’s the big boy lifestyle. It goes with his muscles. Did you read the NY Mag article about JB that was posted this week, written by Vanessa Grigoriadis? She’s the one who was supposed to do the Gwyneth Paltrow “take-down” or Vanity Fair last year. Shia LaBeouf attended a performance of Cabaret in New York last night. He was smoking in the theatre. Also being aggressive with other patrons. To the point where they had to call the cops who cuffed him and took him to the police station. Where he allegedly verbally abused them (“I’ll f-ck you up!”) and spat at them so they ended up muzzling him. Full Story
