Katy Perry donated $10,000 to a school in Australia for her This Is How We Do school competition in Australia. I like the song, in spite of myself. But…have you ever listened to the lyrics? I’m not sure if this is the song you want representing youth engagement. Roar would have been better, hmmm? She’s still a Roar fraud but at least on surface sentiment, it’s definitely more appropriate. Full Story

You know the bad blood between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, right? Taylor even wrote a song about it. Girl Sh-t Is The Best Sh-t, but some Girl Sh-t is embarrassing…because, God, this is over John Mayer. What a waste. Katy is now dating Diplo. And yesterday, Diplo, seemingly out of nowhere, tweeted this: Get Taylor Swift A Booty https://t.co/RpkB8JExSV Full Story
When rappers are mad at each other, they release diss tracks. When rich white ladies are marking their territory…
They release new menus?
As you’ve probably seen, in the current issue of Martha Stewart Living, there’s a page called “Conscious Coupling”, something about ingredients that work together, and just in time for Thanksgiving, the perfect time to keep mean-girling your lifestyle rival.
It would mean nothing if Martha hadn’t spoken out, repeatedly, about Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP. But she has. She’s publicly advised G to “be quiet” and stay in her lane. G, meanwhile, is all like, oh hey, Martha, thanks for being threatened by my small, but ambitious, empire.
I thought these people were supposed to be paragons of propriety. Read Full Intro

Duana and I are working old school today at the library, sitting at a table across from each other by a window, fascinated by the regulars who hang out here. People still come to the library to use the computer – I’m a f-cking asshole for being surprised by this. The librarian overdraws her lip liner and wears her skirt barely past the ass. Full Story
A new installment of White Girl Sh-t was released last night. Gwyneth Paltrow made an appearance at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit yesterday for an interview. This just a few days after it was announced that she’d found a new CEO for GOOP: Lisa Gersh, formerly the CEO and President of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia who left that job after less than a year, amid rumours that she and Martha couldn’t agree on a vision. Taylor Swift covers Rolling Stone. It’s the BEST celebrity magazine profile of the year. No question. And by best I mean the most entertaining. The juiciest. GREAT for gossip. I could not get enough. I had to read it twice, back to back, because I didn’t want it to be over. So, if you haven’t already, set aside 10 minutes today and make sure you’re not interrupted. Full Story
Joan Rivers wrote a new book. Have you seen the Joan Rivers documentary Joan Rivers: A Piece Of Work? I highly recommend. It’s pop culture required viewing. Not only because she’s funny and obnoxious and kind of crazy but because it gives you some idea of the HUSTLE of being semi-famous, the struggle that’s required just to maintain in Hollywood. Jennifer Lopez was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week to promote the new album. The thing about JLo is that she’s always up for a fun playful interview and she can be really, really cute – on purpose, obviously – but there are some people who do it better than others, non? The clip below is 20 minutes long and the sound is not synched up but it was the best I could do with geo-blocking. Full Story
Lainey loves her Girl Sh-it and her Boy Sh-t, and I love Sibling Sh-t. It’s like Girl Sh-t and Boy Sh-t piled with childhood issues and family dynamics. Of course we’ve had our fair share of it lately (thanks, Solange!) but it doesn’t have to be so dramatic to be interesting. I’m fascinated by Kate and Rooney Mara (why won’t they pose together?!). Sophia Loren. At the Palais today for a photo call. And she must have liked the light because she took off her sunglasses. Today she wore red. The other night on the carpet it was sparkly and silvery gold. Kinda like a finger snap. Step off, young ladies. This is mine. It’s always been mine. Full Story
