Totally agree with what Duana wrote about Margot Robbie on Oscar night. Click here for a refresher. Margot Robbie is 24. She’s younger than, say, Emma Stone. But she’s always played older, non? It reminds me of one of my favourite movies, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. Full Story

It’s too bad. Because if you’ve seen Fifty Shades Of Grey, you know he needs more finish. I’ll say it again: more come face, give us more come face! Four or five sex scenes and no climax? How is this allowed?!? So anyway, about those rumours this week that he’s done with Christian Grey and wants out of the sequels, Dornan’s rep has now released a full statement, denying that he’s trying to get out of the franchise, instead confirming that he wants to keep going for more: "Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film. Full Story

When I reviewed Kingsman: The Secret Service I singled out a tasteless joke as a blot on an otherwise enjoyable movie. In the case of Hot Tub Time Machine 2, a horrendous joke makes an already bad movie vile. There’s nothing fun or funny about Hot Tub Time Machine 2, a movie so awful that even John Cusack, who has lately starred in such movies as The Raven, Drive Hard, and Dragon Blade Full Story

Ryan Gosling was at Disneyland yesterday. I guess I came a day too late. But he's here so much - as we've seen - it's not like it's totally impossible that he wouldn't be back again 24 hours later. Anyway, usually when we hear about Gosling at Disney, he's on a date with a girlfriend. Full Story

Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe were seen at LAX yesterday and then landing at Heathrow after the Oscars and the parties. There was a story after the Globes about how he had to explain to airport security what the trophy was in his carry-on. He likely didn’t have the same problem with his Oscar. Full Story

Depending on who you talk to. Last week, The Hollywood Reporter stated that production on Mission: Impossible 5 shut down for a week while a mysterious unnamed writer worked over the finale to provide the film with a better ending. But, on the same day as THR’s report, M:I5 director Christopher McQuarrie tweeted from the set, indicating that production was ongoing, if it had ceased at all. Full Story

"Also, how about Julianne Moore's performance in Still Alice? Incredible, right?" That was Fred Armisen's running gag in his Independent Spirit Awards monologue today. It's also the night's comedic highlight so far. Yes, she is incredible. It was the most memorable performance of the year. Full Story

Jessica Chastain is the furthest thing from a sore loser. Did Laura Dern steal her Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Oscars? Probably. But you could never tell by the look of Jessica's glowing smile on the Independent Spirit Awards red carpet. What's not to love? She's a natural who doesn't take these honours too seriously, even though she's nominated at the Indie Spirits. Full Story

Chris Pratt is a big deal now, you know this. And soon to be bigger when Jurassic World comes out. But he showed up for his friend Adam Scott at the Hot Tub Time Machine 2 premiere which, of course, he didn’t have to do. He’s there though, not only to support his homie but also because, given that his star power is more powerful than any of the actors in the movie, he knows he can use it to benefit a movie that’s not even his own. Full Story

We’ve known for the better part of a year that Jason Momoa will be playing Aquaman in Superhero Face Punch, but last night was the first time it was actually confirmed when Zack Snyder tweeted a picture of Momoa in full Aquaman costume, along with the words “Unite the Seven”. Full Story

Fifty Shades author wants to whip sequel into submission

Whatever we may think of it, Fifty Shades of Grey is an unqualified hit, with $300 million at the worldwide box office and counting. In some respects, that’s a good thing: A movie by women, about women, for women is a monster success. Every time we clock a win like this, it gets that much harder to deny that movies by and about women can’t be profitable, or are somehow “risky”. Full Story

Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci posed in Rome yesterday. Production on Spectre will begin in Rome on March 8th. It’s been kind of a bumpy ride so far. Craig hurt his knee earlier this month in studio in London and a crew member was injured last week in Austria. The Rome scenes will reportedly involve a car chase and at some point they’ll crash it into the Tiber. Full Story
