There are a lot of Canadians representing at Cannes this year. Ryan Reynolds arrived in Cannes today in advance of the premiere of The Captive, directed by another Canadian, Atom Egoyan. As you know, Reynolds’s wife, Blake Lively, has already been at the festival for a couple of days and walked the carpet at the opening gala last night in her role as ambassador for L’Oreal.
The Captive is about Matthew, Reynolds’s character, who is looking for his daughter, abducted 8 years earlier. Here’s a clip from the film:

The Lively-Reynolds showed up at the MET Gala like Brange, with his hand on her ass and loving gazes exchanged back and forth. The Brange will not be on the Croisette this year. So… I guess is these two are what we’re getting. Are you into it?
