Entourage the final season premieres this weekend on Sunday on HBO Canada and HBO at 10:30pm. I’ve not enjoyed the show for maybe two or three seasons now. It lost its bite. As reported yesterday, Jeremy Piven was in New York for a hearing where he was expected to defend himself against a grievance filed by the producers of Speed-the-Plow alleging that he bailed out on the production not because of mercury poisoning but because he was bored and partying too hard. Jeremy Piven decided to use his hiatus time from Entourage for a very well received stint on Broadway in Speed the Plow but he bailed on Tuesday and Wednesday and then took off for LA on Wednesday night, citing mercury count as the reason – something about his doctor ordering him to take off. Playwright David Mamet is not impressed, and doesn’t sound like he believes the Piv either: "I talked to Jeremy on the phone, and he told me that he discovered that he had a very high level of mercury. Full Story

Massive crowd at the RocknRolla gala last night – journalists were three deep on the line as only 50 were expected by 200 showed up. This is the kind of attention that comes with marriage to Madonna. If you’re curious, the Toronto crowed LOVED the movie. A standing ovation. Which Guy Ritchie seemed kinda surprised about, repeating that “they (Canadians) seemed to understand our language, our sense of humour. Full Story
