Emily > Shelfy
A rare Emily Blunt sighting at LAX yesterday – sexy and cute all at the same time. Am a big fan.
Emily’s The Young Victoria which was released several months ago in the UK is finally opening in North America on November 13th. The Young Victoria will also close the Toronto International Film Festival with both Emily and co-star Rupert Friend confirmed to attend.
She will then begin work in September opposite Matt Damon in The Adjustment Bureau, a thriller sci-fi romance about a congressman who falls in love with a ballet dancer but they keep getting torn apart. Or something.
The point is she was chosen as the female lead in a Matt Damon movie. Matt Damon movies are never not a big deal.
Actually, rumour has it, Shelf Ass Jessica Biel wanted the role very, very badly.
You see what Shelfy has to contend with? She is no match against her contemporaries.
And finally, the trailer for Emily’s next feature film The Wolfman starring Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, which has been pushed back to early 2010, was released this week. Have you seen it?
The effects and transformations look impressive enough but…
There’s Emily and Anthony speaking with one accent, appropriate for the era, and then Benicio rolls in talking all street and modern. Maybe it’s just me. I’m not a casting director.
