Sister Dressing At The Emmys

I don’t have a sister. I do have a cousin, Cat, who is like a sister. So I thought to myself last night, if Cat and I were invited somewhere to present together, would we do a sisterly matchy-matchy?
She would pick a dress she liked and I would pick something I liked and if it clashed, so f-cking be it. And besides, what actually clashes anymore anyway?
Then again, maybe I only feel this way because I don’t have a “real” sister, and Cat and I didn’t grow up with parents who sent us out on occasions in the same outfit, only sized differently. Why do parents do this? And when you grow up, do you still want to keep doing this?
