We’ve known that it’s James for a while now. But we’ve never heard it from Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds…until now. Reynolds is doing press for The Woman In Gold, opening April 1. Jesus, it is April already??? Anyway, during an interview with The Today Show, Ryan confirmed that his daughter’s name is indeed JAMES. Full Story
If Madonna thinks he’s hot, are you still giving me sh-t when I say I think he’s hot? Probably. But I’m telling you, if you just look at him and you don’t think about WHO HE IS, he’s hot. No? Fine. We will agree to disagree. Anyway, time for JB’s weekly appearance on Ellen. Full Story
The JUNO Awards happened last night in Hamilton, ON. We celebrated Canadian music in 2014. And the career of Alanis Morissette, on the 20th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill, who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame and closed the show with a medley that included Uninvited, You Outta Know, and Thank You. God she sounded good. Like, effortlessly good. Like I’m not used to seeing people sing with so little effort these days. But with Alanis, all these big sounds come out of her mouth, perfect sounds, especially at the end, and it seems like she’s barely exerting herself. Also… I LOVE what she said about LA.
“I moved to Los Angeles and I waited six months for someone to ask me a question — so I listened. And then I realized I had to adopt a whole other approach to life because Canadians are very engaging, very curious, very self-deprecating, very funny. Read Full Intro

Ryan Gosling presented his film, Lost River, at SXSW this weekend. First, a conversation moderated by his friend, the director Guillermo del Toro. The two are apparently quite close. Throughout the discussion, even though the film was not well received in Cannes, del Toro repeated several times how much he admired Gosling’s work, going out of his way to make sure people knew that he thinks the film is good. Pamela Anderson stepped out last night in LA at the premiere of The Gunman, escorted by her son Brandon. Pam recently filed for divorce from Rick Salomon and has resisted the urge to get back together with him. So far. It’s been a month. Good. Look at the difference in her. This hair… I LOVE THIS HAIR. Finally. A legitimate challenger to McGosling, Rachel and Ryan! People kept asking Genie Bouchard about Justin Bieber during her breakthrough year. Sh-t, even I asked her about it. Because when she was, like, 18 or something, she mentioned somewhere that she had a crush on him. And they’re both Canadian. Full Story
Have you seen those throwback Ryan Gosling dance videos yet? The Internet seems to be losing its mind over them.
Because it’s Ryan Gosling, the human hug pillow.
To his credit, he had a great response:
Obviously I peaked early. Thank you @JaneChupick and twitter for the check up from the neck up.— Ryan Gosling (@RyanGosling) March 7, 2015
You know what I responded to though?
Is this for real or is it just another dream?
Rick Astley was on background vocals for that song! Which is not the song Ryan is dancing to, no, but I went down a Cathy Dennis web-hole this morning and can’t come out of the 90s. Read Full Intro

Ryan Reynolds on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I’m not totally sure what he’s promoting. But he’s a great talk show guest. Good energy, quippy, fun, and he’s hilarious during Egg Roulette, which might be the best game Fallon has on his list. And it’s already a really strong list. Full Story
One week after winning Oscar, Julianne Moore showed up at the Canadian Screen Awards last night in Toronto. She was nominated for her role in David Cronenberg’s Maps To The Stars. And lost to Anne Dorval for her performance in Xavier Dolan’s Mommy.
Still, Julianne – who was staffed by Stephen Huvane – worked the entire press line, stopping for almost every media outlet, because, as she told the Toronto Star:
“I love Toronto. I’ve been coming to Toronto to work since 1986, a really long time, so I feel I’m practically Canadian.”
Love that. Love her. Read Full Intro

I love Sarah Gadon. So I’m gushing here: If Hollywood were a stock exchange, you want to buy shares in Sarah Gadon… and fast. Much like Tatiana Maslany, Sarah won big at the Canadian Screen Awards too — but she didn’t take home a trophy. In fact, she wasn’t nominated this year, even though five of her Maps to the Stars co-stars were, including Robert Pattinson and Julianne Moore. Full Story
Could just be pen. Temporary writing. But given the direction the letters are facing, I’ll guess permanent until we hear otherwise. Because it would be easier for a tattoo artist to write the letters facing themselves than have to come behind you, or get you to twist your hand around, to write the letters facing you. Full Story

For the last few years, Ellen DeGeneres has been doing this bit on her show where she puts an earpiece on a celebrity and gets them to say whatever she orders them to say to unsuspecting civilians. David Beckham’s done it. My favourite was Sofia Vergara. Click here to see.
Anyway, they’ve now turned it into an entire show called Repeat After Me hosted by Wendi McLendon-Covey. You probably know her best from Bridesmaids. And Justin Bieber was on the first episode because he’s best friends with Ellen now since she’s helping out with his Contrition Tour. JB goes bowling. And he twerks. And it’s actually pretty cute. At the beginning, these hidden camera shows always are, right? “The conditions are not the best here. Read Full Intro
