Like I keep saying, even if you’re not nominated or invited, it’s almost mandatory to be in LA this weekend if you’re an actor. It’s important to be seen. It’s important to get in front of the right people. It’s important to prove that you still belong. It’s important to TRY to belong.
Nicole Kidman certainly belongs. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to remind us. And so here she is, arriving at LAX yesterday, in advance of Oscar weekend. There’s Vanity Fair on Sunday, of course, and Kidman is CAA so it’s very possible she makes an appearance there. And what about Harvey Weinstein’s party on Saturday? Interesting because Grace Of Monaco is a Weinstein project but Weinstein and the director aren’t getting along because of all of Weinstein’s editing demands, although now that the film will be opening at Cannes, there may be a new strategy in place to re-build momentum and confidence. This weekend would be a good start.
So, L’Wren Scott, you think? Is that what we might seeing on our Gran?
