The Captain America junkets have been happening over the last few days. Already? That’s what I thought. But it’s March 12. And the movie comes out April 4. So, yeah, already. The movie was screened for the journalists and some nerds.

Reaction?

Sarah has been saying it’s good. Very good. And that seems to be the consensus. The reviews have been great. The tweets have been really positive.

As for Chris Evans – earlier this week, Sarah called him out for his “heart not being in it” when asked about his Marvel contract. Click here for a refresher. Not surprisingly, Evans explained those comments during his interviews at the junket.

“Oh yeah, this was a big thing! I gotta watch what I say. I will absolutely clarify. I have a six-movie contract with Marvel and I absolutely plan on fulfilling them. This is without a doubt the biggest blessing in my life. Marvel has literally changed the game for me, and they make great movies. I did direct last year and it was a really fantastic experience, I really enjoyed it. So I’m certainly looking to do that a bit more, so when it comes to exploring other acting jobs I may not be as proactive in trying to find those, I may kind of stick with my Marvel universe in terms of getting in front of the camera, and then getting behind the camera outside of it.”

That’s what the initial answer should have been, right? Sarah wrote that there are hundreds of below the line team members who’ve been busting their balls to deliver this movie. He owes it to them, if no one else.

Now to Scarlett Johansson. This is her first time with the press since it was reported that she’s pregnant. She’s not officially confirmed it, by the way. But there’s been no denial either. Still, journalists were told not to ask any questions about it and not even to offer congratulations. The edict was strictly enforced. She was, however, happy to talk about Avengers 2 and how solid Joss Whedon’s script is. She called it “cerebral” but there, of course, will definitely be action. Which is why RDJ is working out so hard. Have you seen this???
