A few emails came in yesterday re: the Downton Abbey finale. Question: Is Downton Abbey more like... Gossip Girl or Days Of Our Lives and less like, say, Mad Men or Breaking Bad? Same quality, right? It seemed like it, didn’t it? Every time the camera found her she was laughing. She looked like she was having so much fun. And it was particularly evident because she was seated with Benedict Cumberbatch who seemed to take inspiration from Joaquin Phoenix. No strong feelings either way for the dress. Full Story

Well it’s nice to see some Downton faces making the US talk show circuit, isn’t it? This is Michelle Dockery, better known to most of us as Lady Mary Crawley, arriving at Letterman today. I’m all for Downton Abbey > say, um, Big Bang Theory and getting some well deserved love but, I dunno, I wish it wasn’t sketched on Saturday Night Live. Full Story
