Poor Jacek. I had 24 hours of her from Saturday through Sunday and he got nothing. Saturday morning it was a screening for Little White Lies (Les Petits Mouchoirs) directed by Guillaume Canet. It’s not a bad movie, and she’s lovely in it, but goddamn, the film started at 9am. I had to be in makeup by 11am to make it to her red carpet before noon, and at 11:30am the movie was still happening and finally at 11:35pm I had to run with a bare face to slap some concealer on at the office to head to the theatre. Full Story

Looks like French gossips are about as reliable as the ones in UK. There are apparently certain French outlets that hate Marion Cotillard and Guillaume and I remember, at the AMFAR event in Cannes this year, we were stationed beside a French news agency, and after Dylan and I salivated over Marion Cotillard passing by, who declined, like most stars that night, to stop for interviews, the French reporters told us that they couldn’t stand her, that she was a stuck up bitch, and when I pressed them on why, they just said she’s “been accepted by America”. Full Story

Shooting Woody Allen’s upcoming Midnight in Paris, the director’s latest muse having moved on from London and Barcelona. It’s easier for him to work in Europe now. And it’s quite the cast. Media screenings are happening this week. Everyone coming out of Inception is jerking off over Christopher Nolan’s latest brilliance. Like, everyone. And just in time too. Inception opens July 16 following a smartly paced, cleverly strategised marketing campaign that teased just enough and not too much and as such, should deliver both critically and commercially which is not to say that it’ll do Toy Story numbers, but well enough to be considered a hit and, having made its money, on to perhaps an awards season run. Full Story

Chopard celebrated 150 years last night in Cannes. My Marion showed up in a sparkly pantsuit and looked great, was gracious, and probably stayed well away from Lindsay Lohan who somehow skeezed her way in. They’ll never say because they’re too classy, but the point of these events is the suggestion that these celebrities represent the flavour of your brand so do you really think Chopard wanted Lilo around their diamonds?
