From co-writing This Is Spinal Tap to writing directing films like Waiting for Guffman and Best In Show—the zenith of his mockumentary features—Guest’s credentials are impeccable. Full re-disclosure: Dan Levy, who writes, produces, and stars in Schitt’s Creek is my friend. He’s now an award-winning showrunner because Schitt’s Creek was named Best Comedy at the Canadian Screen Awards last night. Earlier last week, Dan also won a CSA for writing. I can’t say it enough, how proud I am of my friend Dan Levy who created Schitt’s Creek. And wrote it. And stars. And is the showrunner. PS. Dan is only 31. I hate him! While I obsessively watch him, week after week, because I need everything he wears in every f-cking episode. Next time you hear someone say “black is boring”? Introduce them to the way Dan styles a character. Full Story

A star-studded carpet last night in New York. Oscar winners Tom Hanks, Forest Whitaker showed up to support alongside the film’s stars Catherine Keener and Catherine O’Hara (love her so much), and young Max Records with Spike Jonze and Maurice Sendak. And oh yeah, Blake Lively too. Where The Wild Things Are marks the third time Jonze has directed a feature film. Full Story
