Oscars Worst Dressed: Amy Adams

Did you love this? The only person I saw who loved this was the Oscar PR girl on Twitter, and um, she has a vested interest. Not only has this dress been DONE – on Penelope Cruz, on J. Lo, on Tina Fey -- but in this washed out colour, I’m just not interested. I didn’t think it looked princessy and wonderful, I thought it looked dour, draggy-down, and boring. Full Story
Blush Dresses at the Globes: Amy Adams and Megan Fox

Is that what you call it? Blush? So much of it. Too much of it. And strapless. And all of a similar shape. Let’s start with Amy Adams who...I mean Duana and I hated it the minute we saw it. Look at the bottom. It’s sh-tting tulle. The dress is SH-ITTING tulle. Here it comes, you ready? It’s sh-tting tulle because. Full Story
2012 according to The Actors
Joseph Marzullo /WENN
And The Actor goes to... Well, definitely not Joaquin Phoenix. He did say he didn’t want any awards. And even though he backtracked - just a little - the Screen Actors Guild took him at his word. Full Story
7 Contenders (but soon there’ll be 5)
The Hollywood Reporter has posted its video/transcript of the 2012 Actress Roundtable – 7 women were invited (Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams, Sally Field, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Helen Hunt and Marion Cotillard), but as we know only 5 will be nominated, and there’s no guarantee it will be 5 exclusively from this group. Janis vs. Janis

When I first started looking into the new developments on Joplin, I thought the news was that recent Tony Award winner Nina Arianda was replacing Amy Adams in THE Janis Joplin biopic, but it turns out Arianda is starring in A Janis Joplin biopic and Adams is still attached to another, different Joplin project. Shelfy loses another one
A few weeks ago I hinted that Jessica Biel was being considered for Lois Lane in the new Superman. It all started when she somehow made the shortlist for a part in The Dark Knight Rises. As we all know, the role eventually went to Anne Hathaway. Multiple sources confirm to me however that they liked Biel enough to keep her in mind for something else… And she did indeed have a good shot at it. Full Story
Worst Carpet-to-TV Translation: Amy Adams
Written by Duana While I love Amy Adams, I will admit to being a pretty recent bandwagon jumper. I wasn’t so into it and she played such an unsympathetic character in Julie & Julia and there was the whole cutesy poo singing thing (I can hear all of you going “doesn’t that sound exactly like the kind of person you’d like?” ) but I can’t explain it. Meryl
That f-cking Shelf Ass had the temerity to put herself in the same sentence with Meryl Streep in an interview. Meryl Streep is too classy to care. But to quote Valentino: I would eat them! Meryl was in LA last night with Amy Adams for the premiere of Julie & Julia in which she plays Julia Child, with the accent and the quirky mannerisms, a third summer in a row that she’s featured at the box office, and that’s Meryl Streep – just turned 60 and, as she’s said recently, suddenly a box office draw. Globes Best Nicole Kidman: Amy Adams
Moulin Rouge was on tv the other night. I’d forgotten. How much I love it. Moulin Rouge is sublime. And Nicole Kidman 7 years ago… this is why I loved her then. Before she went apesh-t with the freezing, before she decided to permanently immobilise her face, before her forehead became the tundra… Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge was exuberant and electrifying and gorgeous.
