Miss you so much
We’ve just cleared our second award season in a row without Cate Blanchett. Missed her so much. Cate has focused on work at home in Australia, without too many film commitments, save Robin Hood which will fight for box office supremacy in May, due for release just a week after RDJ’s Iron Man 2. I was about to write that Robin Hood likely won’t be Oscar material but then Maximus shouted in my face with a Gladiator attack. Robin Hood comes ten years after Gladiator and once again features Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott. I wonder though if they’ve lost their ju. We’ll discuss this another time.
Russell joined Cate today in Sydney at the GenerationOne Campaign Launch which aims to put an end to indigenous suffering and disparity. The event attracted some of Australia’s biggest names.

Cate and Russell will soon be kicking off a massive press tour for Robin Hood. And I just want to point out that I can’t look too long at the way he wears his jeans. There are a lot of people here in Vegas who wear their jeans like this. Not sure this is the image Russell Crowe wants projected.
