It’s week 4 of our ongoing SCENEtourage series and as you now know, we’re teaming up with our friends at SCENE each week to bring you highlights from some major upcoming Hollywood releases.  And your chance to enter to win FREE movies at a Cineplex Entertainment Theatre for you and a guest for ONE YEAR!  Details on how to enter as well as the many benefits of being a SCENE member are below.[Alt-Text]

Last week we featured the provocative Shame starring Michael Fassbender.  He just won the British Independent Film Award for Best Actor. You need to see this movie.

Next up it’s Jonah Hill’s The Sitter. Because Christmas shopping is horrible. And there will be a moment this weekend when you are stuck at the mall and you will hate the world. What you need: a few laughs and an outlet for your filthy mood, surrounded by likeminded adults who won’t huff and puff about inappropriate content for children.  There will be no kids at The Sitter. And no Twilight women.

Here’s Jonah at the premiere of The Sitter last night in New York looking... better. He’s still fit, but not so extreme. And, you know, like I said about his “fu”, this is what suits him. Going into award season for Moneyball, having a little extra “fu” around could serve that film very well.

The NYT just profiled Jonah last week. Did you read the article? Apparently while shooting The Sitter, he kinda lost it during a scene, getting super emotional after drawing from his own personal experience with having an absent parent. It didn’t make the cut, for obvious reasons, but it’s some insight into this kid’s ambition, and, juxtaposed with the description of how he behaves at his “all eyes on me” corner table during the interview with the journalist, puts much of his behaviour into perspective. I ran into Jonah Hill at Dan Tana’s a couple of years ago. We’d been waiting for our table for 15 minutes. He came in with his friends. They told him it’d be a while. And Jonah Hill dropped the “Do you know who I am?” card. That... makes total sense to me now. Click here to read the NYT pieces.

Now about the contest.  What exactly can you win?  How about 48,000 SCENE points! That’s two movies per month for you and a guest for an entire year!

And how do you win?   First, you have to be a Canadian resident, at least 14 years old, and a SCENE member in good standing.  If you’re not familiar with SCENE, it’s the first and only entertainment rewards program in Canada that is packed with benefits including FREE Movies and 10% off movie snacks at Cineplex Entertainment Theatres, and exclusive Contests and Discounts for SCENE members only.  Points are easy to earn and redeem and you’ll get 250 just for joining.  Click here to join SCENE and for more details.

Once you join, click here to go to our contest page and fill out the ballot.  Fill out the form and enter your SCENE membership number. The grand prize draw will take place on December 29, 2011 and the winner will be contact via the email address provided.  We’ll also be doing weekly draws for two movie passes (2000 SCENE points) from entries received between featured SCENEtourage posts.  Congrats to Laura H. for winning the week 2 prize.  We’re drawing this week’s winner next. So get to it and good luck!
