Carpets & Candids: Emma’s first two Cannes dresses

Boring. In fact, the two-piece wine coloured dress with feather trim for The Bling Ring photo call is a major letdown. Those chest darts don’t work on that f-cking material I hate so much. And then it was a plain black shift for the presser. Fine. Maybe she’s saving up for the tapis rouge. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Lucy’s off-the-shoulder and bad shoes
Ben Gabbe/ Getty
Lucy Liu’s spectacular showing at the Golden Globes in January is still in the running for my best of 2013 – click here for a refresher – so I’m pretty disappointed in this totally medium off-the-shoulder dress she wore yesterday, and VERY disappointed about these horrible shoes. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Hayden P’s bandage and hair
It’s 2013. Are celebrities still wearing bandage dresses? This, here, is one night in Vegas. And the shoes are tragic. Shame too because I love the hair. Of course I do. It’s a braid. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Pippa’s heinous pants
Wenn, FameFlynet
On Zoe Saldana? Maybe. Maybe they could work. If styled properly, it’s not impossible. But Pippa Middleton, as we’ve seen too many times, has sh-t style. So no, holy f-ck, these don’t work. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Kerry can’t save
Kerry Washington can make a lot of mediocre sh-t work. But not even she can save this dress. The problem: it’s SO cheap. It might cost a lot, but it’s SO cheap. It’s $49.99, tops. And if you buy it for any more than that, you’re wasting your money. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Connie in blue lace

Purple? Blue? Whatever it is, I don’t care for it. But that might be very personal. Lace is often not my thing. This is Temperley. Which means Pippa Middleton would be all over it. Which is why I don’t want to see my beloved Tami Taylor in it. There’s simply no imagination. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Elizabeth’s messy dress
Dimitrios Kambouris/ Getty
Elizabeth Banks wore orange at the Vanity Fair Oscar party this year – click here to see -- and was the best at that event. She went with orange again at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and... well... this is a messy Roland Mouret, non? Weird too because Mouret is normally known for being the opposite of messy. Carpets & Candids: Sophia in champagne

HATE. All of it. Hate the colour (which I’ve now associated with royal baby swaddling), hate the detail (1995 wedding dress), hate the shoes (divorcee, aged 45), and so much hate the Cinderella wedding fringe. If Mrs Timberlake is growing it out, you know it was never a good idea to begin with. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Claire’s blue for the WHCD
Dimitrios Kambouris/ Getty
Really like the design of this Prada, especially how it looks from the side. But the colour is killing me. It’s... hospital scrubs blue, non? And there’s just SO MUCH OF IT here – a giant swath from neck to ankle. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Claire’s full print
This dress is Lanvin. I don’t hate it. But the necklace she chose is throwing me off. Right? Also don’t love how the skirt flares. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Kate Hudson in sea foam
Neilson Barnard/ Getty
I’m not sure the Tiffany colour belongs on a dress. They called it “sea foam” on Jessica Chastain at the Golden Globes, remember? Click here for a refresher. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Kristen in florals and a topknot
Nikki Nelson /WENN
Ummm... I think maybe Kristen Wiig thinks that she’s Zoe Saldana? Or an Olsen? Or maybe Kirsten Dunst. More proof that, yet again, not everyone can pull off these looks. She might have a very serious dressing problem. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Mrs Timberlake & Tiffany
Neilson Barnard /Dimitrios Kambouris /Getty Images
In Elie Saab. Boring. In other words, a perfect match. But an unremarkable dress can be elevated by an interesting wearer. This...is not one of those times. I don’t think the lip colour was a good choice either. Full Article
Carpets & Candids: Kylie’s MTV metallics
Alberto E. Rodriguez /Michael Buckner /Getty Images
I stopped watching halfway through so I’m not sure if Kylie ended up on being given something to do, although I suspect not, which means... She was just there as a spectator? WHY??? I feel embarrassed for her. And this is no way to treat a superstar. Also, the dress (Paco Rabanne) is unflattering. Full Article
