The Critics’ Choice nominations have just been announced. Unbroken in…Foxcatcher out. Angelina Jolie is on the list for Best Directors, Bennett Miller isn’t, and nothing for Steve Carell. Instead they went with Ralph Fiennes in Grand Budapest Hotel and David Oyelowo in Selma. I wonder if it’s because Carell can be a weird interview. Full Story

The Sony email hack has already delivered the gift of gossip to us for the last couple of weeks. And we’re still making our way through it. Apparently there will be more. Vogue January 2015 issue. Sienna Miller on the cover. God she has such a lovely face. And the smattering of freckles across her nose is so attractive. This is about Sienna starring in American Sniper. Really though, as the front page promises, it’s about Sienna’s “second act”. Full Story

Fallout from the Sony Hack continues, and it’s no surprise that the news is bad. But Sony doesn’t have that kind of luck and so the news continues to be damaging. Full Story

You want a conspiracy theory? Here’s a big one, courtesy, of course, of those hacked Sony emails. On January 29, 2014, just before the release of George Clooney’s The Monuments Men, he sent an email to Sony’s Amy Pascal, reacting to the film’s sh-tty reviews. The title of the message was “it’s getting worse”. Full Story

What was the bigger blow to Angelina Jolie last week? The Sony email leaks or the fact that she didn’t get nominated for a Golden Globe when Jennifer Aniston did? Reese Witherspoon stepped out yesterday, Golden Globe nomination day. And she was named in the Best Drama Actress category. This outfit… But this is SUCH an LA Wife outfit, non? All that’s missing is the Botox. But appropriate I guess for the weeks ahead – a lot of handshaking, a lot of deal-making, a lot of favour-asking, a lot of smiling. Full Story
