Fifty Shades Of My Obsession
It was the obvious title of this post. What else could it be? Thank you for all your emails and tweets. And your concern. And your mockery. You know what I love? I love that you reached out to me on this news. This is vanity, yes. Let me own that. I am proud of it. That somehow, in a sick, weird, loser way, some of you associate me with. Full Story
Am I one of them?
A hypocrite, I mean. I really don’t want to be. But I can feel it closing in. Is it nobler to admit it, or to feign that it’s not happening? The truth is always the way, right? Here’s what I’m saying: after whining about how people have to learn to interpret fiction onscreen differently than the fiction in their heads, I need to point out that this Entertainment Weekly cover Full Story
Anchorman 2 has salon-quality hair
After promising teasers, the first trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has been released and it’s already quotable. This is the measure of a good comedy—not necessarily a good movie, but a good comedy—how often and how long you can quote it. Full Story
Cumberbatch in Greece, Fassbender in the South
MAVRIXPHOTO.COM/ KEYSTONE Press
Benedict Cumberbatch was in Greece yesterday to promote Sherlock. He looks hot. As in temperature. In other Cumberbatch news, a still of him in Twelve Years A Slave, Steve McQueen’s upcoming film starring Chiwetel Ejiofor about a free man tricked into slavery was released yesterday. Michael Fassbender plays an evil plantation owner. Full Story
When you’ve been replaced by Leonardo DiCaprio...

Is John Travolta the next option? Robert De Niro has been working a LOT. On his IMDB page, there are 17 features on his resumé since 2010. He has several more films in development. None of them with Martin Scorsese...unfortunately? I mean. Full Story
Bike Boy & Skater Girl

First reaction seeing these shots of Taylor Lautner on set today in New York: I thought they already made this movie...? It was the one with Lily Collins. Didn’t see it but the trailer showed him on the run all the time and super intense about his identity -- one of the reasons I call him Tom Cruise Jr. Full Story
Sandy’s black press tour
Wenn, FameFlynet, Karadshow/ Splash
Sandra Bullock is currently promoting The Heat in Europe. She wore black at the London premiere last week -- click here for a refresher -- and she wore black again at the photo call today in Berlin. This is a good look. I love a well tailored classic shirt and that leather skirt is a good length. Full Story
Carb Face Hustle?
But is it really carb face on Brad Pitt? Or are we looking at fillers? I’ve been writing about this for a few months now. Click here, and here, and here Full Story
Eddie is a leftie

Eddie Redmayne played tennis with some other celebrities at the Rally Against Cancer charity match at the AEGON Championships in London the other day. I kept looking at this shot of him thinking it was a two hand forehand, evidence of my right hand bias. Because when I asked my husband Jacek, a leftie, to help me figure out why Eddie was hitting a two hand forehand, he told me I was an idiot. Full Story
Matthew McConaughey, scene stealer
That was my first impression watching the first trailer for Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio -- Jesus, Matthew McConaughey’s become quite the scene stealer, non? We might be looking at a double nomination for McConaughey next award season: Best Actor for The Dallas Buyers Club and Supporting for Wall Street? So. Full Story
My Obsession’s West Coast Father’s Day
My Obsession, the Taylor-Johnsons, have been in Vancouver for the last couple of months while Aaron Taylor-Johnson works on Godzilla (with Walt White). By the way, I was on a flight with Bryan Cranston a couple of weeks ago. He was super low key, very unassuming. Looked like a regular business man. Full Story
Henry’s Super Weekend

You see Man Of Steel this weekend? Some of you must have. The movie opened huge, setting the record for biggest all time in June. As predicted then, Man Of Steel will probably come in at #2 when the year is over, after only Iron Man 3. Which means they’ll get going on a sequel soon. For Henry Cavill though, as I’ve been saying, and judging by the horny emails you’ve been sending me the last few days, it means he can’t take the bus anymore. Full Story
Keanu's Movie for Nerds
EM43/ Splash
We've seen many faces of Keanu Reeves over the years. There's Keanu the insanely successful blockbuster star, Keanu the art house gay-ish muse, Keanu the idiot, Keanu the romcom leading man, Keanu the sad Chateau Marmont cliche. Now say hello to Keanu the director. The trailer for his first feature film, called Man of Tai Chi, has been released and, while it's probably not what you were expected from him, it also confirms some assumptions we've all been making about him for some time now. Sandy’s greatest love story
FameFlynet, Gotcha Images/ Splash
Sandra Bullock went out for dinner last night in London. She’s in Europe to begin promoting The Heat, her new movie with Melissa McCarthy, opening June 28. I really, really want to see it. I really, really want it to be good. McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly recently (April 19/26 issue) that even though initially she would not be able to fit The Heat into her schedule, she wanted to work with Sandy so much, she said, “For the love of God, there’s basically no way to turn that down”.
