Glenn Close was surrounded by a rather eclectic group last night at a screening in New York for Albert Nobbs that included John Leguizamo and Sinead O’Connor along with Close’s Albert Nobbs co-star Mia Wasikowska. Rooney Mara, who is the US Lisbeth Salander, and Mia Wasikowska, who could have been the US Lisbeth Salander, were both at the CFDA Awards last night. Someone Had To Get The Crown
Written by Duana I got the oddest feeling looking at these photos. You? Anything? Is there a twinge there? I don’t exactly want to see what I see. But there it is, looking me in the face. Full Story

Finally got around to watching the trailer for Gus Van Sant’s upcoming Restless which, now that I’ve seen it, I can’t wait to really see. I love Mia Wasikowska. I love her voice. She has this delicate, curious, so expressive small little voice. It’s so delightful to listen to. Full Story
On The Kids Are All Right
It was playing at ONE theatre for only ONE showing on Sunday. 10am. Made me crazy. But I dragged my sick ass out of bed last weekend because I wanted to see it so badly. Jacek came with me. And it was SO worth it. You already know about the Oscar buzz coming right out of Sundance. And given its reviews so far, the Oscar buzz is still building. Full Story
The one that won’t suck
Mark Harris wrote a great article in the last issue of Entertainment Weekly about the piss poor offering at the movies this year. As in quality. This is not about the box office, this is about good films. And there haven’t been many. So few that How to Train Your Dragon is one of the only ones that’s top of mind. Full Story
