Tom, Charlotte, Noomi: Triangle?

Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace were at an event in London together last week. I posted those photos but I’m re-attaching them again here because, well, we’re looking at them differently now. They’ve been working together on a movie. They’ve already worked together on other projects. Full Story
Desperately needing the dog

Tom Hardy, a member of my Five List, was in London last night at a charity event with his frequent collaborator Noomi Rapace. As you can see, Tom looks to have shaved his head again, Bane styles, which... is not my favourite. It is also not my favourite when he makes that face. It’s the face he has on in that photo with Rhys Ifans. Full Story
Tom Hardy doesn’t know about deadlines

And what happens to them when he shows up with a puppy. It’s a tight morning and I’ve already wasted too much time obsessing over these. What? Him again. Of course. With that puppy. Or another puppy. (They’re changing them up every week, right?) Being all cute and irresistible. Full Story
Tom Hardy: the puppy and the PA
Tom Hardy + Puppy, for the weekend. So it’s ok if you f-ck around today, rendered useless from so much cute. And please I don’t want to think about the puppy after. Like when the movie wraps and he’s all, wait a minute, I was so boss for a few weeks there and everyone cared about me and now why is my life so ordinary? Whose puppy is it anyway? Do we have to wait ‘til the junket to find this out? At least give us a name. Full Story
Puppies & Tom to the rescue

I am in a rage this morning. There is nothing more infuriating than waking up in a hotel room at 5am to sh-tty internet. Oh no, wait. I know what’s more infuriating. What’s more infuriating is calling the front desk and being told that, yeah, it’s normal, our internet service goes up and down all the time in the same tone of voice you might say good morning to someone. Colin, Noomi, and Total Recall
FameFlynet
A new trailer for Total Recall has been released. It’s better. Not sure if I’m desperate to see it but I might be more...interested? Total Recall opens on August 3, just two weeks after The Dark Knight Rises. It was supposed to go head to head against The Bourne Legacy but as Sarah wrote Full Story
Who decided to drop a trailer after Batman?
There’s a marketing misstep if ever I saw one. Summer 2012 is stacked with high-profile franchise releases including The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, and one of the more mysterious entries, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. Set in the same universe as Scott’s classic Alien, it’s a prequel but not really—the events take place before those of Alien, but the story isn’t directly related. Full Story
My favourite bromance & Noomi’s bad dress
Tim Whitby/Dave Hogan/Getty
I appreciate the effort. That she didn’t want to be boring. But this dress...It’s really, really, REALLY bad. Maybe, like, MAYBE, and this is the weakest maybe ever, if the dots were smaller? Probably not. But sh-t, it’s SH-T, right??? And the hair, the fringe, that doesn’t help either. I don’t understand how this happens. Full Story
Sherlock returns
Written by Sarah Two issues with Sherlock Holmes. 1) We’re going to need a way to distinguish between the RDJ/Guy Ritchie movie franchise and the BBC series starring Benedict Yum Yum (because that nickname is no less ridiculous than his real name of Cumberbatch). Full Story
BAFTA Lisbeth: Noomi Rapace’s moment
Written by Sarah The BAFTAs represent Noomi Rapace’s most prominent recognition for her work as Lisbeth Salander in the Millennium Trilogy, specifically The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. If you didn’t see the Swedish trilogy, Noomi is amazing. Full Story
Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue 2011
By now I’m sure you’ve seen it – the annual Hollywood Issue, this year featuring Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, and the ubiquitous James Franco on the cover, with Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, and Noomi Rapace on the inside flap…as Robert Duvall supervises from the back. Full Story
The old Lisbeth is the new It
That’s what Entertainment Weekly called Noomi Rapace a couple of weeks ago. And they actually say that’s what everyone in Hollywood is calling her right now. She was in LA for meetings and so many people wanted a piece and she’s working with the same publicist who took Marion Cotillard to an Oscar and they say there’s an outside shot there could be a nomination in Noomi’s future too. Full Story
The new Lisbeth goes to Stockholm
It’s Rooney Mara, the girl who beat everyone to become The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. In Stockholm yesterday preparing for the role. She’s supposed to speak with a Swedish accent. So I guess she’s starting to practise. I can see it a little, I guess, in her face – that wounded animal expression about her, a reticence in her eyes, the look of a forever child. Full Story
We don’t need an English version
I don’t read much in the mystery/thriller genre. But Fiona, one of my best friends, is all over it. And she was really into Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy a couple of years ago. Then our other friend Heidi, who was pregnant at the time, read the first one, and just days before giving birth, became so obsessed that she hunted down Fiona for a copy of the second. Full Story
