Ringer Season 1 Episode 10Okay, Ringer, don’t fail me now. I want a lot of fun in short order. Without focusing solely on fashion, I do wonder how Bridget decides which of Siobhan’s outfits are appropriate for which type of potential espionage. Sweater and statement necklace? Sure! So, Bridget and Andrew love each other, huh? I mean, so much so that there’s a candle-lit montage of loving-and-staring in the first six minutes of the episode, and only after the afterglow does Bridget don some I-mean-business shoulderpads. Buck up and eat bologna
Ringer Season 1 Episode 9 Ha ha. I may be in the minority, but I’m pretty entertained when I get punked by a show. Ringer is doing a damn good job. It keeps me guessing all of the time whether or not Bridget is a damn idiot, or if she’s actually pretty clever. Full Story
The genteel ultrasound

Ringer Season 1 Episode 8 recap So…we come in on Bridget, terrified, watching this ultrasound, which is amazing. Also, if it’s her ‘first’ ultrasound, let me just say that this is an unusually genteel way to um, check stuff. Thanks, preggo friends, for filling me in on that particular indignity. Full Story
Does Ringer Love You?
Ringer Season 1 Episode 7 recap A couple of days ago, I was writing about how it’s strange when the audience on a show knows more than the characters. Um, Ringer does not give me that problem. You guys, this show is so messed up. You never know what you know is true, what’s a lie, what you’ve been shown already that can be erased and redone and reshown to be the truth, to make you look like you don’t know what you thought you knew. Holy hell, Ringer
The Ringer Season 1 Episode 6-b recap I know I’m the one always preaching to give shows a chance. That you can’t know everything you need to know in two episodes. And there is nothing harder than making a brand-new show. You have to give the audience enough to make them interested but also lay out your story, without making it all exposition. Full Story
The Ringer gets going
The Ringer Season 1 Episode 6 recapThe good part of missing an Episode of Ringer is that they give you a really thorough recap of what you missed. The bad part is that you have to wonder if the plot reveals felt subtler when they weren’t in a highlight reel. Also, I missed the first time that Bridget tells someone she isn’t Siobhan. Full Story
Improving…
The Ringer Season 1 Episode 3 Dear Ringer fans – or Sarah Michelle Gellar fans. I’m sorry. I know how mad you are at me. I know because I’m getting your emails, and man are they ever filled with exclamation points. Okay, so here’s the deal. Have been trying to hold off on making too many snap judgments, while still seeing whether there’s enough people who are passionate about the show (and whether we are, too). Full Story
Ringer is…not, exactly.
Ringer Season 1 Episode 2 recapOh, Ringer – I really want to like you. I had my heart set on a full-length review, where I pick-pick-picked at how Bridget just instinctively knew which cocktail dresses of Siobhan’s would be appropriate. But I’m still not sure this is a show. So Bridget thinks about bailing this episode after conveniently murdering and tucking away a dead guy (and I know we’re used to Sarah Michelle Gellar tossing around 200 year old men like they’re nothing, but this is wee-tiny addicted Bridget), and all she does for the rest of the episode is generally be quietly winsome, so we’re supposed to love her forever. On Ringer
Written by DuanaRinger Season 1 Episode 1 recap So okay. When we discussed what we were going to review for the site this year, Ringer was obviously at the top of our list. Tuesday nights are a very, very busy time on the TV, so you’ll forgive my lateness in getting here. Full Story
