Claudia Jordan used to be on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was on the Allegedly podcast on Monday and was asked about Jamie Foxx. This is what happened:
That sounds pretty definitive, right? Jamie Foxx is finally OK with going public? As you can imagine, the story went all over the place. And then, just a few hours later, Claudia Jordan is backtracking. Watch what she says here. Listen to how insistent she is, how many times she repeats herself:
“I’ve never seen Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes together.”
And then when she admits she misspoke and that she can’t be the one to confirm Jamie’s business, well, she looks uncomfortable, right? Who told Claudia Jordan to shut it down? And why?
Everyone seems convinced that Jamie and Katie don’t want their sh-t out there because they’re afraid of Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology. Jamie Foxx is managed by Rick Yorn and repped by Alan Nierob. We live in a world where Vanity Fair doesn’t give a f-ck about pissing off Tom Cruise and publishing lengthy articles about his weird relationship with Top Xenu and auditioning girlfriends. I’m not so sure Jamie Foxx has to fear Tom Cruise. To me, this has nothing to do with Tom Cruise and everything to do with Jamie Foxx not wanting to bonafide a woman. He didn’t bonafide the mothers of his children. And he told Oprah he wouldn’t ever bonafide anyone:
“Whoever you date, don’t let anybody know. I was dating a girl one time and I’m sick and there was a premiere and she got her dress and she was like, ‘Well, the premiere’s tonight… what are we doing? Because I got this dress.’ And I said, ‘Ok, well you go ahead and go to the premiere and don’t come back,’ because it ain’t about that. To me, in order to make it in this business, it has to be someone who is willing to sacrifice a little bit more than what they would sacrifice in a normal relationship.”
As I posted last week, Jamie’s been in and out of Toronto for no official reason while Katie’s in town shooting The Kennedys. Probably the closest to a confirmation we’ll get without a backtrack.
