I liked The Amazing Spider-Man well enough. Mostly, I liked how great Andrew Garfield  was as Peter Parker, but it wasn’t a bad movie. The biggest issue was that it didn’t do enough to separate itself from the Sam Raimi treatment of just a few years ago. Full Story

Emma Stone arrived in Paris yesterday and hit up Miu Miu with a friend. The Miu Miu show is tomorrow. While Emma was photographed landing in France, Andrew Garfield was shot at LAX. They were together in New York just last Friday when Sony confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, setting up for what will eventually be a trilogy. Full Story

As noted many times, I’m no fan of the red dress. The problem with the red dress on a red carpet is that it bleeds into the carpet. And also every time a designer sends a red dress down a runway it’s always made for the vixen, mega vavavoom. But what if red could be cute, girlish, and sweet? Ever since I heard the marketing was being held up in order to recalibrate the approach in the face of underwhelming reaction to the first trailer and marketing push late last year, I’ve wondered if Spider-Man doesn’t suffer from middle child syndrome. Full Story

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, along with other members of The Amazing Spider-Man team, including that prick Rhys Ifans, were in Mexico yesterday promoting the movie at the Summer of Sony event. I love her blouse and that tricked out collar. I LOVE it. I also love that they’re not super precious about their relationship and who sees them holding and hands and not hiding about it or ducking under parked cars. Full Story

I was happy to see Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield walking their first red carpet together on Saturday at the Kids’ Choice Awards. The two subsequently presented together as promotion for their upcoming Spider-Man. I was even happier to see Shannon Woodward show up with Katy Perry. Emma Stone apparently met with Rob Marshall yesterday in New York and many are now speculating that she’s being considered for a role in Marshall’s film adaptation of Into The Woods.
