Madonna gossip, latest news, photos, and video.
Iain, my friend and (unofficial) Madonna archivist, reminded me this morning… It’s the 25th anniversary of Madonna’s Vogue. 25 years ago today, Madonna released one of her most iconic songs. It’s a long list of iconic songs. But if you’re making a list of iconic Madonna songs, there’s NO argument about this one. Full Story
If Madonna thinks he’s hot, are you still giving me sh-t when I say I think he’s hot? Probably. But I’m telling you, if you just look at him and you don’t think about WHO HE IS, he’s hot. No? Fine. We will agree to disagree. Anyway, time for JB’s weekly appearance on Ellen. Full Story

Like many of you, I was waiting all week for this. Some of you wondered about the Gwyneth question, whether or not Howard would go there. As I told my friend (and top Madonna scholar) Iain, Howard didn’t ask G about M, so there was no way he was going to ask M about G. M is way bigger than G. Full Story

Madonna looked great last night in London, seen here leaving her party at a private members club. She’s always had the most beautiful eyes. So about that fall at the BRITs, she was on Jonathan Ross yesterday talking about the performance. When he wanted to replay it for her, she refused to watch. Full Story

It’s been 20 years since Madonna last performed at the BRIT Awards. So there was a lot of buildup ahead of her performance. By now I’m sure you’ve heard that she fell. She couldn’t get her cloak untied in time and the dancers pulled and she went over and God, that looked dangerous. Full Story
Madonna will be performing at the BRIT Awards tonight. She also covers the new issue of Rolling Stone which leaked online yesterday. That’s a great red lip. And a really great red nail with gold accent. And the eyeliner is perfect. So are the eyebrows.
Anyway, as you know, M is pressing hard right now for her new album Rebel Heart. A world tour announcement is expected imminently. “I have a plan” is what she told Rolling Stone. Great. I look forward to whatever she has planned. But she needs a hit. Like a big hit. A high rotation play hit. The kind of hit that you can’t get out of your head. I don’t think Living For Love is that song. I mean it’s fine, but it’s not …inescapable, you know? What’s the next inescapable, you will know the lyrics forever, Madonna track? I really want there to be one. Read Full Intro

To me, Madonna looked stiff last night at the Grammys. There was no fluidity in her movements. My friend Iain, the most ardent Madonna fan I know, even he called her performance “cautious”, wishing she would just let go. That’s about as critical as it gets from Iain on Madonna. So if even he’s calling it “cautious”, it was cautious. Full Story
Wednesday was the Start of Spring on the Chinese calendar meaning it’s now officially the Year of the Goat/Sheep (even though Chinese New Year is on February 19th). That day I posted a Squawking Chicken (my ma) advisory for those born in the Year of the Ox. The Goat/Sheep is the opposing sign of the Ox…which means that the Ox (and that includes me) is in for some sh-t. Click here for a refresher.
I’ve had several follow-up Ox emails since that post. Most commonly, you’re asking about being a pregnant Ox in the Year of the Goat/Sheep and giving birth to a Goat/Sheep. The Squawking Chicken’s recommendation: Godparents. But make sure your child’s godparents are NOT born Ox. Read Full Intro
This was released on SnapChat today so I don’t know how long it’ll be before this video gets taken down. I suggest you watch it right away… It’s new Madonna. The song is Living For Love. Not the worst recent song we’ve heard from her. But you know Madonna. And if it’s one thing Madonna knows, it’s a music video. Full Story

Madonna fronts the new Versace Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. She’s had a good relationship with the brand for a while now. Looks good, right? I mean I don’t know how “realistic” it is but since when did we expect realism from fashion ads anyway? Of the collaboration, Madonna said: "It's always exciting to be dressed head to toe in Versace and experience first-hand Donatella's vivid imagination and passion that she has created for this collection.
