Taylor Swift was recently interviewed by the Telegraph in the UK. She stays on message: my friends are the priority, I don’t want a boyfriend right now, I’m standing up for art, etc etc etc. But the quote that’s getting the most traction, as you would expect, is the one about Katy Perry. Full Story

These photos from last week were just released today. It’s Justin Timberlake visiting his wife on the set of The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea. The photographers are calling it a “surprise”. Look at that smile, how happy she is that he was there, that he came to see her. It’s like a reward! When’s the next time we’ll be seeing Mr Timberlake on a movie set? They announced Spinning Gold about Neil Bogart, what?, two years ago? And then there were reports that Spike Lee was in talks to direct. Full Story

Brad Pitt was at LAX on Saturday. Some say he was heading to France to check in on their property and the wine. Brange has been quiet lately, on the Hollywood front at least. She’s likely in post for By The Sea and he has yet to confirm his next acting role, although it’s been revealed that he’ll be producing a Lewis and Clark series for HBO with Edward Norton and Tom Hanks. Full Story

Madonna looked great last night in London, seen here leaving her party at a private members club. She’s always had the most beautiful eyes. So about that fall at the BRITs, she was on Jonathan Ross yesterday talking about the performance. When he wanted to replay it for her, she refused to watch. Full Story

Beyonce posted a supercut of her workout on Instagram yesterday. I’ve embedded it below. You know what I love about this, beyond the obvious? The obvious being that this is what celebrity social media is for: the glimpse behind the gloss, or as much of a glimpse as they’ll strategically allow you to see… What I love is that Hayley has made me do each and every one of these moves. Full Story

It’s too bad. Because if you’ve seen Fifty Shades Of Grey, you know he needs more finish. I’ll say it again: more come face, give us more come face! Four or five sex scenes and no climax? How is this allowed?!? So anyway, about those rumours this week that he’s done with Christian Grey and wants out of the sequels, Dornan’s rep has now released a full statement, denying that he’s trying to get out of the franchise, instead confirming that he wants to keep going for more: "Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film. Full Story

Depending on who you talk to. Last week, The Hollywood Reporter stated that production on Mission: Impossible 5 shut down for a week while a mysterious unnamed writer worked over the finale to provide the film with a better ending. But, on the same day as THR’s report, M:I5 director Christopher McQuarrie tweeted from the set, indicating that production was ongoing, if it had ceased at all. Full Story

I read an article at Variety the other day about Taryn Hurd, the talent producer for the Oscars. She’s the one who comes up with the presenter pairings, deciding who comes out with who to announce what. BEST F-CKING JOB EVER. So she’s the one who we need to be pitching Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston to. Full Story

In the run-up to the Oscars The Hollywood Reporter has started doing this thing where they get select members of the Academy to fill out their Oscar ballot and explain why they’re voting the way they’re voting. So far they have three this year, which you can read here Full Story

Whatever we may think of it, Fifty Shades of Grey is an unqualified hit, with $300 million at the worldwide box office and counting. In some respects, that’s a good thing: A movie by women, about women, for women is a monster success. Every time we clock a win like this, it gets that much harder to deny that movies by and about women can’t be profitable, or are somehow “risky”. Full Story

After screening at Sundance, HBO has released the first trailer for Going Clear, the documentary about Scientology. There are no faces. Just voices. And reviews from major media outlets. The film adaptation of Philip Roth’s novel American Pastoral has undergone some upheaval during its development. First Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly were going to star as the central couple, then Bettany dropped out and was replaced by Ewan McGregor—but Connelly stuck around (does that make for weird dinner conversation at home?). Full Story

Lainey emailed me last night and said I needed to go look at Norm Macdonald’s Twitter. So I did and it turns out that Macdonald, who appeared on SNL40 over the weekend, was having an SNL-themed story time about the week running up to the anniversary special. The big revelation that everyone is latching onto is that Eddie Murphy was supposed to appear in the “Celebrity Jeopardy” sketch as Bill Cosby, but that he backed out at the eleventh hour because he didn’t want to “kick a man when he was down”. Full Story
