A Fassy-free ass
I totally get Zoe Kravitz’s appeal. There’s a sullen pouty mystique about her, even more pronounced in person, that many people find very sexy, including Michael Fassbender, with whom she ended a year long relationship just recently ...so as to free herself for Penn Badgley...? Zoe and Penn spent part of the holiday on the beach in Miami together. Full Story
Lonely Boy fills in for Fassy...again?
Zoe Kravitz and Michael Fassbender were together. Then in the summer, after the release of X-Men: First Class, she was seen around New York with Penn Badgley. It was thought that she and Fassy were over. But at TIFF, I saw them out together on consecutive nights, not just hanging out, but like obviously a real situation. Full Story
Fassy & Zoe
Too bad she doesn’t spell her name Salinger style, right? Let’s start with why he skipped the TIFF gala premiere of A Dangerous Method. It was announced on Friday that he wasn’t coming to Toronto for “undisclosed reasons”. Then he showed up in Venice to collect his Best Actor Award for Shame. Full Story
Conan Family Portrait
Conan the Barbarian premiered in LA last night. Jason Momoa was accompanied on the carpet by Lisa Bonet, mother of his two children, and her first child Zoe Kravitz. Please. He is a beast. And Denise Huxtable certainly has a standard. Like, she may be a little like Leonardo DiCaprio that way. She strictly dates hot guys. Full Story
Lonely Boy > Mr Rochester?
Page Six reported that Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley may be hooking up. The two were at the Friends With Benefits premiere and party the other night in New York, arriving separately but hanging out inside, and then leaving together and getting in a cab at 1:30am. Full Story
X-Men: First Class
Everyone is wanking off to Michael Fassbender’s performance as Eric who becomes Magneto in X-Men: First Class and while I totally think he deserves it because he’s great, I do wish people would jerk off just as hard to James McAvoy too. It’s almost easier to play the prototypically tortured superhero with a shattered heartbreaking history and a thirst for vengeance that compromises his goodness. Full Story
X-Men is good, McAvoy relieved
As noted the other day, the first reviews of X-Men: First Class have been very, very strong, assuaging concern that resulted from the poster issues and the underwhelming trailer. Click here for a refresher. Fans and critics expressed relief. And the actors too! James McAvoy told WENN that he and Michael Fassbender were nervous about how it would all turn out. Full Story
Sigh of relief: it doesn’t suck
I was worried for James McAvoy after the trailer and the sh-tty posters came out for X-Men: First Class that the origin film would suck. Because I love him. I want him to be good. I want for his projects to be good. And it wasn’t just me. Those early clips were universally underwhelming. The marketing plan seemed in disarray. Full Story
Mia, Michael, Zoe
I complained yesterday that Jane Eyre opens this weekend in the US and seemingly nowhere else. F-ck! I really want to see it. In Canada it’s next week. And since I’m away and then away again, I won’t be able to go until March 29 at the earliest. F-ck again! Why? Because Mia Wasikowska is extraordinary. Full Story
Excuse for more James
I posted a fake X-Men First Class trailer yesterday. But that only means there’s an excuse to write about him again today with the proper trailer and more photos. James was interviewed on This Morning yesterday in support of Gnomeo & Juliet. I like it when it’s spelled with a single T. Full Story
Lame X
They’ve released a photo for the upcoming X-Men: First Class. Take a look. It’s AWFUL. It’s so much bad. There’s no imagination. And James McAvoy looks not great at all. Oh but there’s drama… The photo first leaked on Tuesday and almost everyone start sh-tting on it. Full Story
