Gwendoline Christie, though you probably know her as Brienne of Tarth, was named British Actress of the Year last night by Harper's Bazaar. Jaime would be so proud of her. No, really he would. I think? Or does he keep f-cking his sister? Don't tell me! It has indeed been a career year for Gwendoline. Full Story

As expected, the Game Of Thrones panel at Comic-Con this weekend was a big deal. And it was a chance to say goodbye to a couple of our favourite characters. Also a look-ahead to Season 5. So here are Gidget and Oberyn Martell alongside Jon Snow and Arya Stark and the Hound and Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister who, for me at least, is quickly becoming the Pacey Witter of this show. It’s right there! Right there! Sit on it! She didn’t. And maybe that’s a smart move. Because nothing good, so far, has come from anyone sitting on the Iron Throne. Her Majesty visited the set of Game Of Thrones today in Belfast. Certain members from the cast were there too. Full Story

Lena Headey was on Kimmel last night and he asked her to drink wine like Cersei Lannister and talk to him in character. F-ck I just like hearing her talk. I like watching her just be… Cersei who, as Duana says, might be the best character on the show. There is always great tension in Cersei’s scenes. Full Story
I thought it was foreplay. You know, Brienne of Tarth and the Hound. Because Game Of Thrones has turned me into a sicker f-ck than I already was.
But just because it’s worth waiting for doesn’t make the waiting any less sh-tty. TEN MONTHS of waiting now. I will be a year older by the time we find out …
Well. There’s so much to find out. Like if the Khaleesi will ever actually DO anything. It was an exhilarating conclusion to season 4, yes. But it was also a waste of a season for her character. A total waste. Also, do I have to care about Stannis Baratheon? Because I don’t. I do care a lot about Cersei Lannister. Duana called her “the best character and almost the best actor” last night. Oh I know we’re supposed to hate Cersei but how can you hate a character who’s so delightfully complicated and who never disappoints dramatically?
By the way, I thought the Three Eyed Raven was Johnny Depp. Read Full Intro
Game Of Thrones Season 4 Episode 10 recap I complained about how much time was spent at Castle Black last week and I know I wasn’t wrong, but there’s conflict there, at least. The previouslies remind us that there are too many parts of this show that are just so much talking and not enough actual breath-holding terror and delight. Full Story
Got back from Banff last night and had to watch Game Of Thrones again from the comfort of my own bed. By the show’s episode 9 standards, I can’t say it was my favourite. But… I have a question I can’t stop thinking about. About my favourite character of the series…
Why didn’t Jon Snow take Ghost with him? My favourite scene this season has been when Jon and Ghost find each other again. The look on Kit Harington’s face when he says, “Come here!” almost made me cry. Like, if I had a direwolf, I would pick fights ALL THE TIME, especially with the King Beyond The Wall.
Check out Harington arriving in New York the other day with his hair pulled back. He keeps complaining that he’s not allowed to cut it. You know why he needs to stop it with that sh-t? Pompeii. Read Full Intro
Game Of Thrones Season 4 Episode 9 recap The Wall. Jon and Sam each stare into the bleak, unending night, lost in their own misery. Then it turns out Sam’s misery has a name and it’s spelled G-I-L-L-Y. He wants to know what it was like to be with a girl, you know, with-with, and wants Jon to tell him since he didn’t get the chance. Full Story
Lainey loves her Girl Sh-it and her Boy Sh-t, and I love Sibling Sh-t. It’s like Girl Sh-t and Boy Sh-t piled with childhood issues and family dynamics. Of course we’ve had our fair share of it lately (thanks, Solange!) but it doesn’t have to be so dramatic to be interesting. I’m fascinated by Kate and Rooney Mara (why won’t they pose together?!). Game Of Thrones Season 4 Episode 8 recap I think the question on everybody’s mind has to do with the human body, the physics therein, and whether that could have actually happened, but let’s do it in sequence as we usually do, just to maintain the suspense a little. The previouslies alone need footnotes. Full Story
Game Of Thrones Season 4 Episode 7 recap: The return of Hot Pie When you’re on the road the way this episode is, everything can feel disjointed. But the exciting part of it is that there’s no cabin fever. Things are moving, both in the more and less literal senses. And it almost felt – good? Like fun, or exciting? I apologize in advance for the lack of pronouns in this recap, but there were a lot of single-sex scenes, which makes “he” and “she” kind of futile. Full Story
