Dear Duana, We are expecting a little girl in May and we are facing a dilemma.  My husband and I have been together for 15 years, and shortly after we got engaged a decade ago, we picked the names of our future children. We both loved those names.  So when we had our son three years ago, we didn’t give it a second thought and gave him the pre-picked boy name. Full Article

Hi Sasha! I need your advice. I’m 24 and in a long term relationship. What started off really great has turned messy.  My boyfriend, who I love, is very jealous. He always thinks I’m looking at other guys on campus or interested in them and it’s driving me nuts. We’ll be in a car together and I’ll be looking out the window and he’ll accuse me and ask me “ do you think he’s hot or something”. Full Article

Dear Sasha, About two years ago, I had a really tough time. Most of my friends were there for me, but one of them was not. Since then, I tried to reach out to that friend and tell her how hurt I was, but she freaked out about how mean it was of me to call her a bad friend. In my understanding, we left it with the ball in her court -- I was happy to do the hard work of conflict resolution if she was, but she wasn't. Full Article

Hi Duana, So let me bounce this off of you. I have a daughter named Lyrah, after her grandmother. I am expecting another daughter. The other grandmother's name that we like is Alameda. I like that both of these names are unusual and have family history. I'm not feeling Alameda as much though. Full Article

Hi Duana, My sister is expecting her third daughter later this spring and is stuck on coming up with a name that fits with the Russian/Hebrew tradition of the first two (Raiyah and Mila) but doesn't also end in an -a. There have been soo many good ones we've decided to forego because of that, amongst them: Aria, Hannah, Sasha, Anya. Full Article

Hi Hayley, I workout regularly 3 to 4 times per week. The problem is I am always sore.  Muscle soreness. If it's not my triceps, it's my quads, if not my quads, it is my back, if not my back, then it is my shoulder muscles. You get the picture. I have a difficult enough time getting motivated to workout but then I am so sore for days afterwards. Full Article

Duana Names: Two! Two! Two names in one!

Duana Posted by Duana

Hi Duana, Totally wanted to do this on my own, but I'm throwing in the towel and turning to the expert. I'm 6 weeks away from D day, and not any closer to a name than I was months ago! My husband is Italian and I'm Asian, and expecting my second boy. I wanted to use the same criteria as for my first: Italian or Latin-based formal name, easily pronounced by the Asian side, with a strong-sounding English short form that we would use as his name every day. Full Article
