There was some serious strutting happening the other day on the set of Charlie’s Angels in Miami as Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh, and Rachael Taylor, all dressed in white, stomped around in heels for a scene that obviously involves a lot of smiling, hair blowing, and gorgessity. A classic Angels moment.
Over in New York yesterday it was kinda almost hmmm maybe not really the same situation as Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Melissa McCarthy tottered on designer shoes crossing a street for a photo shoot in support of the upcoming Bridesmaids. Bridesmaids was written by Wiig and her writing partner Annie Mumolo. It’s Wiig’s first feature leading role. Judd Apatow is producing. Paul Feig who created Freaks & Geeks is directing. Oh and Jon Hamm is in it too. So…

I know several people who’ve been to advance screenings who’ve said it’s good. Please no jinx, no jinx, no jinx.
Obviously it’s about Kristen’s experience as the maid of honour. But it’s also about facing changes in your friendship, a universal experience, hopefully imagined in a funny but authentic way. Bridesmaids opens on May 13th.
