Edward Norton is a Father (Yes I Still Care)
It’s hard to crush on a celebrity who is truly private. Sure a Leo or a Johnny Depp are private, but they also work a lot, meaning lots of promotional media. Edward Norton doesn’t work a ton (IMDb shows no movies in 2013), and his interviews are few and far between. Moonrise Kingdom opened Cannes last night. Photos of the cast on the carpet at the Palais including Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, and Edward Norton, who looked sooooooo great and so fresh and not truculent at all, are attached. And how was it?
I love Wes Anderson movies. If you love Wes Anderson movies, you’ll probably love Moonrise Kingdom too. I LOVED it. Yes, he is so full of random it borders on pretentious and can, for some, feel smug. No I can’t argue against those who would insist that he’s odd by choice and as such not really odd but artificial. Not that I agree, but it’s pointless to argue. Or, rather, that is the point. There will never be a Show Me The Money! moment in a Wes Anderson movie. This time however there is some emotion. Feels like a trailer storm, doesn’t it? So many new trailers, so many new movies... I just want to get to The Hunger Games. I don’t care about anything else. I might however consider going in August go see The Bourne Legacy in theatres based on this trailer. Not for Renner, who does look impressive but his gross hands grossed me out in M:I4, but for Edward Norton. Full Story

He was at TIFF for Leaves of Grass. And the word on him is that he can be difficult, surly, temperamental. But aside from Colin Firth, Edward Norton was the most well liked during the festival. Polite, considerate, he charmed everyone, he had time for fans, he was obliging, he never complained, he was patient, he was articulate, Michelle interviewed him at the junket and left with a crush – he has a sexy geek vibe about him that is incredibly attractive – and she was not alone.
