Spons’d Tingles: Dr. Oetker Savoury Moment
No one beats Meryl
Another month, another Dr. Oetker Savoury Moment. And another prize giveaway! This month Dr. Oetker is giving away a $20,000 Kitchen Makeover plus 8 secondary prizes from Whirlpool Click here to enter. So many moments to savour this month – from the three cracked out blondes Lilo/Donatella/Taylor Momsen to a new classic quote allegedly from Tom Cruise courtesy of Balki Bronson Pinchot (“You want some ice cream, in case there are no gay people there?”) to Shia LaBeouf’s hilarious free swing, but there is no one who can trump The Streep and claim the best this month. This is how it should be. Always.
An Evening With Meryl Streep at the ROM, definitely the highlight of the month. Click here to review that article, in sharp contrast to what we’re confronted with daily, from The Hills to the Cyruses, from the Lohans to Jessica Biel, this woman is True.
She is True when she says she won’t speak publicly of her husband because he is more than a caption in a magazine, she is True when she says that acting is less important than learning, and it is especially True, in the Age of the Stupid Generation, when Meryl declares that being Capable is much more interesting and useful than being Special.
Falls on deaf ears. Sigh.
These are photos of Meryl I wasn’t able to post last week from Q&A session at the Rome Festival for Julie & Julia. If they could all age so gracefully…
