We’ve all noted that Henry Cavill, despite being ridiculously good looking and obviously being made into A Thing, is kind of boring. For many of us, the most interesting thing about him is that he dates Gina Carano (which is totally hot). He certainly seems nice, and is well spoken bordering on soft spoken, but he’s kind of the most vanilla potential heartthrob out there, right? Well not anymore. Full Story

My Iron Man 3 review is full of spoilers. So I’ll wait to post it. But, really, what do you need me for? The critics are overwhelmingly in favour. At this writing (Sunday April 28, 2013, 8pm ET), Rotten Tomatoes has it at 92% fresh. Many are saying this one is the best of the three. Full Story

A red band trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s new film, his second in a row with Ryan Gosling, was released online yesterday. As you know, their first collaboration was Drive. Ryan Gosling didn’t talk much in Drive. If this trailer is any indication, he speaks even less in Only God Forgives. Full Story

It’s Robert Downey Jr’s birthday today. He’s 48. And he’s celebrating in Seoul promoting Iron Man 3. I wonder if he’d be willing to fly over to Pyongyang and talk some sense into that child running the North who thinks that life is a video game. Don’t you think that kid would feel so much better if he could hang out with Tony Stark, maybe try on the suit or something? Crisis easily averted. Full Story

Am writing from LAX, heading home to Vancouver after a few days in LA. This was my itinerary, and I promise, there's a point: Last week we were in Toronto, flew back to Vancouver on Friday, arriving at 7pm PT.
