Chris Brown.

On his Twitter:

Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album.

Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!

Well, he’s right about why he’s famous. As for Mainstream America, Mainstream America doesn’t get a lot of credit for much good a lot of the time. If Chris Brown is crediting Mainstream American for holding him accountable for beating down Rihanna…

Gold star on that one, Mainstream America. A+.

As I have said, repeatedly, forgiveness is not impossible. But forgiveness as a gift instead of as a reward is a mistake. Because ultimately it’s a disservice to the person who seeks forgiveness. If you don’t make him earn it, how will he change?

Chris Brown Twi-Hards will insist that he’s said sorry a million times and shouldn’t have to keep repeating it. Has Chris Brown ever acted sorry? When he’s throwing chairs out of Good Morning America windows, when he’s scrapping with Drake, when he’s sh-tting out misogyny on social media – is that contrition, or is it defiance?

Defiant is how Chris Brown has behaved since he put his fist into Rihanna’s face, over and over and over again. Defiant Chris Brown vs the world. Chris Brown the victim, always.

Where I come from, if you f-ck up, you eat it and you accept the fact that you have to eat it, all the sh-t, until people stop wanting to give it to you. You don’t get to make that call.

But it’s Chris Brown who’s been making the call. So Chris Brown latest call, at 24, is threatening to retire?

Congratulations, asshole. How many 24 year old men in America can afford to retire?

Speaking of retirement, here’s Chris Brown leaving a club in Hollywood last night at 2am.
