Come to Luminato! June 8-17
Luminato is back for its sixth season. I wrote about it last year but if you weren’t around or haven’t been, Luminato is Toronto’s premiere 10 day festival of creativity and again features an amazing line-up of talent. I’m home for it every time. The stage shows, live music, readings, amazing art exhibits, and much more light up the city with culture and diversity and reflect the richness of the arts in Toronto.
The Festival runs from June 8-17. Click here to see the full event schedule and ticket information. There are ticketed and free events and everyone is welcome.
Luminato has put together an amazing prize pack for us again to celebrate the opening of the Festival. Up for grabs we have the following:
- Books from featured Festival authors including Chris Cleave (who will debut his new novel Gold and is the author of Little Bee), Nicole Krauss (who will read the story A Garden is an Arrangement of Light, and is the author of The History of Love), and Irvine Welsh (who will debut Trainspotting’s prequel , Skagboys, at Luminato 2012)
- CDs from featured Festival musicians including Rufus Wainwright, Kathleen Edwards, K’NAAN, and Ohbijou – who will all play free concerts during the Festival
To enter, write me a quick note (firstname.lastname@example.org titled “Luminato 2012”) about your experiences reading or listening to any one of these artists. We’ll draw from the entries and, if chosen, send you the their book or CD. Then we’ll enter each winner into the grand prize draw of a Kobo Reader loaded with the books from each of the authors featured in Luminato’s 2012 Literary program (as seen here: www.luminato.com/event-type/en/literature/). Standard Contest Rules apply. One Kobo Reader available (value $99) and one each of the above books/CD’s.
Good luck and see you at Luminato 2012!
