In a gorgeous Burberry dress and her short hair combed forward, stepping up to receive her trophy but acknowledging Sally Field on the way, and hugging George Clooney, and then talking about how stupid she was for almost not hugging George Clooney… All of that, all of that is great. Full Story

It’s a month to Oscar which means it’s time to yell at Vanity Fair for its annual Hollywood Issue. As always, the limited diversity that’s featured in this supposed celebration of the best of the industry is hidden behind the cover. Of course, yes, they suck for this, totally. But if the Hollywood Issue is a reflection of Hollywood, well, isn’t this actually a pretty accurate reflection of Hollywood? Hollywood is white and no women over 40 are allowed. Full Story

It’s a gorgeous suit. It’s a beautiful colour. And he wears it so well. I interviewed Eddie Redmayne at the Les Miserables junket last weekend in New York. He is very, very nice. Doesn’t take himself too seriously, is engaging and friendly, seems kind and humble. It’s hard to not to be happy for him that he has the opportunity in this film to showcase his talent and variety and the best part about that is that, unlike some of his peers, he’s not self-conscious about the role. Full Story
