On Saturday Louis CK released a new show on his website with absolutely no fuss or fanfare. For five dollars you can buy the first episode of Horace and Pete directly from CK (over here, if you’re interested). This first episode is sixty-seven minutes long, and the setup on the site makes it look like there might be four in total, but there is zero official information on how many episodes there will be, or even when the next one will premiere. Full Story

Sarah Jessica Parker was in New York yesterday shooting Divorce. HBO confirmed last spring that the comedy had been ordered to series and the show will premiere this year, although an official premiere date has not been announced. SJP plays Frances who’s married to Thomas Haden Church. Her two friends, Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam, who you’ll remember recently as Mona Sterling in Mad Men, and in the past as George Clooney’s first wife, are newly single and Frances is intrigued by the prospect so she brings it up with her husband. Full Story

The Netflix Gilmore Girls revival is happening – four 90-minute episodes, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall are being shot literally right now. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino explained that they’ll be about “three women (Lorelai, Rory, and Emily) in transition”, because that mirrors the structure of the pilot. Full Story

Idris Elba won twice at the SAG Awards on Saturday, first for his performance in Beasts Of No Nation and then for his performance in Luther. He was also nominated, alongside his Beasts Of No Nation co-star Abraham Attah, for Best Ensemble. And while they were presenting the film together, Idris opened with the statement: “Welcome to diverse TV”. Full Story

NBC is clinging to its Celebrity Apprentice franchise for dear life. As Trump geared up for his run for President (I can’t believe I just wrote that), NBC cut ties with him and his entire business (two of his children worked as advisors, as did other Trump staffers). But instead of scrapping the series altogether, they’ve decided to start fresh with a new boss: Arnold Schwarzenegger. Full Story

Kit Harington was photographed yesterday in London. Those shots are attached below. Today he was seen at Heathrow and so was Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark so I’m wondering if they were both headed to LA for the Screen Actors Guild Awards happening on Saturday. Game of Thrones has been nominated for Best Ensemble Cast. Full Story

The X-Files returned on Sunday night and even with a time delay thanks to championship football, the ratings were REALLY good. Even allowing for spillover football fans who tuned out within the first few minutes of the show, The X-Files pulled around 13.5 million viewers, which is great for the current state of network TV, especially if you’re not a procedural on CBS. Full Story

I think Saint Tom the Huge Dork is gone for good

I’ve been missing Saint Tom the Huge Dork, as Tom Hiddleston has deliberately lowered his profile over the last couple years. Saint Tom the Huge Dork was born of the glory days when he was last promoting 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and doing silly dances all over the place and generally being a huge dork. Full Story
