Covered the Game Of Thrones Season 3 premiere red carpet last night at the Chinese Theatre. The last time I covered a movie carpet at the Chinese Theatre it was Gangster Squad in January. The carpet was easily 4 times longer. And with 4 times LESS people. Or more. You can imagine how long the cast list was last night for GoT, right? We’ve been conditioned at these events to expect that they’ll arrive just before the start of the screening and not stop and make you feel that they’re doing you a favour by showing up and talking. Full Story

HBO released a new teaser trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones yesterday just as select members of the cast were at the SAG Awards. I’m sorry there aren’t more photos. As Sarah noted in her post earlier, Game of Thrones was a huge draw this weekend at Comic-Con. The line was long for the panel. Unfortunately – for me at least – there was no standard line for the media. They allowed 2 or 3 of the big outlets a few questions but it wasn’t a regular situation where the press were invited to a specific event. Full Story

Oftentimes at festivals and conventions, the best parties are the late parties, or not even a party but the bar or lounge everyone just ends up at the end of the night. Summit had a party yesterday and several celebrities, including the Twilight people, made flyby appearances but those are mostly glad-hand affairs and it’s not an environment where they can kinda just kick it and let loose. Full Story
